Hard to disagree with numbers, and it's not excuses, it's facts. Flacco won a championship with much less than Matt has. Flacco.
Kaepernick beat Ryan with a 17 point deficit. Kaepernick.

I do believe that Brees was and is a better QB than Ryan, then to now.

Roddy fricking White and it's not even close. His antics on the field is enough to annoy the hell out of you. But when he got personal and started talking shite about New Orleans itself....that sealed the deal

Roddy White is clearly the most hated and its not even close.

On the other side of the coin, Brian Banks is the most respected. I am pulling for him to make the squad. He has handled being falsely convicted of rape and serving 5 years in jail better than I could ever imagine handling that situation. I wish him the best of luck.

I watched that terrible pre-season game on Thursday just to specifically watch him play in the 4th quarter. He did pretty decent and exploded frequently toward the ball carrier. He's definitely a run stuffer and has issues on protecting against the pass - most LBs do though. I really hope he makes at least the practice squad.

As for Roddy - I agree. I wish Mike Smith/Arthur Blank would force him to delete his twitter account. Most/all of his controversial comments come from damn twitter. Sometimes it's better to just shut up.

I dislike Matt Ryan.

My reasons are the following:

1) he's most crucial to their success

2) he looks like a goody too shoe gay guy

3) he's the thrower of their balls

4) i heard he cursed a baby at target

FWIW I don't like the team as a rival, but i don't dislike any player in particular. the only player in Atlanta i ever outright disliked was Vick.

FWIW - i removed it when you said you didnt really hate them.......and if you had really hated them, i would have taken what you said about me taking it to seriously back on you.

it is what it is. and also, i really don;t take anything on here too seriously - but i do point out lapses in judgement in other posters - just as I am.

And Matt Ryan does deserved to be mentioned, clown. He's done more in his 1st 5 years than Brees did.

The Chargers sucked. First year with Payton he takes the team to the NFCCG. Only reason why Ryan has had some marginal success his first 5 years is the amount of talent around him on the offense and the stability at key positions on the offense. Not saying that Ryan has been bad, but currently he is above average. To say that...

He has a higher ceiling

to me is laughable. He does remind me of Tony Romo early in his NFL career. Started out strong, never could come into his own.

I love the Falcons-Saints rivalry. Seriously, it is the only NFL rivalry that even remotely compares to the passion and excitement of SEC football.

The fact these two teams hated each other when they were NFC West bottom dwellers makes this day and age the best part. It must have been in the mid 90's or something, but I remember the Falcons and Saints had no more than 3 or 4 wins each, and one was against each other. It makes this recent stretch of fighting for the division crown more fun.

However, I'll never understand the absolute breath of hate for Matt Ryan... I don't believe he is overrated. I peg him as the #4 QB in the League behind 1) Brady 2) Manning and 3) Brees.

I get that Jaws ranked Ryan ahead of Brees, but he only said it was based on past trends and speculative projections. While Brees has a ring, and a more accomplished career (being in the league far longer), is it unfair to take into account Brees' age and his last performance against the Falcons? Zero Touchdowns, FIVE Interceptions. If Matt Ryan ever had that game against y'all, you'd still be laughing about it.

Here are the stats between Ryan and Brees during their fifth year of competition in the NFL [Ryan's most recent season]:

Brees: 16 games, 64.6 completion %, 3,576 passing yards, 24 TD's, 15 INT's, QBR 89.2
Ryan: 16 games: 68.6 completion %, 4,719 passing yards, 32 TD's, 14 INT's, QBR 99.1

He's a standup guy, much like Brees is. He is a guy that makes his presence known in the community, much like Brees. The same knock on Brees early in his career, and especially after his shoulder injury were the same (not enough arm for deep balls--which if you watch both, is false).

If you hate him because he's the Falcons QB, that's fine. But as far as this Falcon fan is concerned, I hate the Saints, but respect certain players. Drew Brees is one of them.

Lance Moore is not.
