Curious as to who will start at defensive back and LB positions.

Anzalone

I know hes been somewhat impressive, but opening game starter? Is that really happening? Who would've thought

Klein is the reason why they will do this.

If you watched both of them play together you saw Klein get on his arse for a missed assignment and the rest of the game Anzalone damn near was perfect.

His athleticism is probably the best out of the LB's.

Klein will have him in the right place and Anzalone is smart enough to know whereabouts he needs to be.

If yall noticed the first two games I think we trotted out that alignment and it worked really well.

This is such a good combination. Anzalone is, as you said, by far our most athletically gifted LB [that will actually play]. If the other guys can just lead and direct traffic for him I think he will be a great contributor.

Robertson was an idp freak last season. I'm intended to go with Klein with my eye on Analzone.

Is he more athletic than Anthony?

No, you're right. I honestly didn't even consider Anthony. Out of sight, out of mind I guess. Anthony is definitely more athletic.

Dalvin Cook one of three Vikings rookies listed as starters

Posted by Josh Alper on September 5, 2017, 1:34 PM EDT PFT

quote:

The Vikings didn’t have a pick in the first round of this year’s draft, but they found starters with three of their first four picks. The Vikings have second-round pick Dalvin Cook, third-round pick Pat Elflein and fourth-round pick Ben Gedeon listed as starters on their depth chart heading into Monday’s game against the Saints. Cook is listed ahead of Latavius Murray at running back, which comes as no surprise after a summer that saw Murray limited by offseason ankle surgery and Cook getting praised by Vikings coaches at every turn. Murray got healthy by the end of the preseason, but it will be equally unsurprising if Cook should find himself getting the lion’s share of the work as his rookie season unfolds. Minnesota also lists Elflein as the starter at center while his main summer competition Nick Easton has taken over at left guard in the wake of Alex Boone‘s release. Gedeon is listed ahead of Emmanuel Lamur as the weakside linebacker and joins Eric Kendricks and Anthony Barr with the first team for his first NFL game.

Yes. He, Kelemete, and Unger all played on Thursday with no apparent setbacks.

I honestly think Robertson will start at WLB ahead of Anzalone

I've been here. Mostly quiet.

I actually love our draft picks. I just see 3 of our back 7 are rookies. May end up being just fine this year, but I do see some potential problems with pass defense, again. They've looked great all preseason though, so hopefully they continue it.

FWIW, I think we're a fringe wildcard team, so it's not like I'm down on this team. Sorry I didn't proclaim us super bowl champs
