Starts, has a solid season, his YPC is good, but his carry numbers won't be too high so he probably doesn't crack 1000. He and Robinson could make quite the 1-2 punch.

He is not a good fit here anyway the way he is used. The dude needs to get more than the token 1 or 2 carries and then pulled out so Brees can torch the secondary again. The Saints never need to waste another high pick on a RB. Reggie and Mark never lived up to their hype.

Reggie never lived up to the hype, but was a first down machine who scored touchdowns left and right. His injuries held him back here, not his production.

Ingram's problem is that he hasn't been good in the passing game.

I don't know what he'll do but I can guarantee there will be people making excuses for him like they've done for the past three years.

"He's not used correctly.", "He needs more carries.", "The OL sucks.", "CSP is pass first...then run."

It won't even compare to the number of people like you who shite on him for no reason.

Ingram was running well when the run game as a whole was doing well.

Wait, I thought a leaf could knock over Ingram?

I thought he always went down on first contact?

He's certainly had his faults, but this board just blasts him

I'm still mad at him for the Seattle game, but I also saw that switch turn on. He doesn't fumble and runs hard

T-Rich also being on that list sort of hurts it to some people. Least that is what I've been told.

One thing that stands out on that statistic is Ingram's number of carries is less than half of the average carries in that list. Less sample size, higher margin of error. Not saying he hasn't been good at still fighting after contact. There were many situations last year he was contacted, and if tackled, would have been a loss. But he fought forward and made no gain or maybe even a short 1 yard gain out of it. That kind of stuff doesn't show up easily on stat sheets.

I don't think any practical person can look at Ingram's performance last year and not see some good in it. But honestly, his career will take off somewhere else where he gets more carries.

We need to run him into the ground.

Lets really see what he can do with a big haul most games.

Our offense isn't built for backs to get a ton of carries, but I would love to see Ingram get about 22 a game and see what he does.

Here is another good breakdown.

the-impact-of-defensive-packages-on-yards-per-carry/

He faced fewer than 5 DBs on 84% of his carries. That is the 4th highest.

Expected YPC:
