You talk about an aging speed guy and would rather bring in Boldin

Boldin is fricking 36 years old. Ginn Jr. Could probably catch 3 100 yard TD passes before Boldin caught 1.

Like I said.. Intermediate help at the WR is what we need, not an older speed guy with bad hands.

Anquan was never a speed guy. I think he ran a 4.7 at the combine.

Ginn played the second most receiver snaps for Car last year behind Benjamin. Just sayin.

Roster cuts will occur after 6/1. See who is available and make a move.

To the next poster:
Did you see Carolina's receiving group last year? It was Olsen, Benjamin, Ginn and no one else.

He's not just a speed guy.

Here's something I'd read if I were you by the Advocate on what kind of receiver he actually is.

yeah just mentioned Michael Floyd in another thread, though he gives me pause. The Cardinals gave that guy every opportunity to step up and take Larry's spot and he never really seized it, now some of that was due to injury. Still some upside there though

Would never want to rely on him as a primary contriubutor, but as depth/3rd WR it is a risk I would take.

Nope they also had Brown and Funchess as someone else said.

Ginn out snapped and out produced them by far, despite Carolina's game revolving around the run.

Hell he only had 180 yards less than Benjamin.

All of these guys played at least 15 games.

Funchess and Brown are comparable to Brandon Coleman.

There is a reason why the Carolina went McCaffrey and Samuel with their first 2 picks. Aside from Olsen and Benjamin, there is no one else for Cam to utilize on offense.

I think that a must-get is blackmail material on Goodell.

Ginn dropped 15 fricking passes the last two years and has two 100 yard games. But he had 700 yards! his job as a WR is catch passes. If he wasnt a top 10 pick with the name Ginn we'd be treating him like Joe Morgan, as we should. He has a role to clear the field, anything else is lagniappe.

I agree, we need to address WR. Either wait for cuts to come down or like Big J said, Mike Floyd. He would fill a need. Or even a guy like Rod Streater.

We don't need him to have 100 yard games. When did Sanu have a 100 yard game? Or Taylor Gabriel? They didn't, not at all last year. Now I'm not saying Thomas is on the level of Julio, but he could be be a Top 10 WR.

We still have Snead and I think people are undervaluing Ginn. Yes he drops passes but he can still produce. He was actually 3rd in drops in 2015 but wasn't even in the top 20 in drops in 2016. I agree we need some depth but people acting like we need another starter need to relax. If anything this could be a good thing. Maybe CSP will rely on the run game more.

If you compare this to the 09 WR corps then it looks like this:

Robert Meachem = Willie Snead
Marques Colston = Michael Thomas
Devery Henderson = Ted Ginn Jr.

So really all we are missing is Lance Moore type of guy and why can't Kamara come in and give us that kind of production? He could come in and produce at the level of Bush in 06 or Sproles in 11. He could be the MT13 of this year.

Arizona has this WR Jaron Brown, I think he would be a great sleeper to bring in.
