The Vikings traded in front of us before we took Williams. Were we going to take Cook there?

I think Payton's first choice was McCaffery. 2nd choice Cook. When they both were gone, he made this trade to get Kamara who was his 3rd choice before someone took him. He had to have one of the above for his much needed 3rd down back!!

We got jumped so many times. Our draft could've have been Mahomes, Foster and Cook. I'm not saying it would've been better but definitely different.

Can you imagine the explosion. If we picked Mahomes, Foster then Cook with all the defense talk. 
Although on paper that would have appeared to be one hell of 3 picks right there.
Dalvin Cook would be deadly in this offense. But with that being said I think Kamara will be very good.

I would have been pissed. Really I would have been really annoyed if they picked Cook instead of Williams with the second round pick

Two things:
1. I'm glad we got jumped in all those cases. Foster is dumb, and an injury risk, not to mention he's already in the substance abuse protocol. Mahomes may turn out to be great, but wouldn't help this year and I'm all about making one more run. Cook has injury, character and fumble issues.
2. How the frick do teams know who we are going to pick? Is there a leak? How do they keep jumping us?

I agree with all of that!! Yes, I think there is a in between that passes potential picks on to every team. Has to be. Lack of defense has killed this team!! I am dumb founded that Payton could and would let the defensive side of the ball get so freaking bad!

This is what pissed me off the most about the draft. Don't get me wrong, I like our picks. But it seemed like every damn time we were about to pick someone jumped ahead of us. KC at 10, SF at 31, Minn at 41......
