Here's my take after reading about all of them on a number of draft websites.

1. Jack Allen C 6’1- 295 Michigan State
2. Landon Turner OG 6’4- 330 North Carolina
3. Avery Young OG 6’5- 328 Auburn
4. De’Vante Harris CB 5’11- 176 Texas A&M
5. Ryker Matthews OG 6’5- 315 BYU

Everyone of those guys has a chance to make the final 53. I'm not saying all five will, but all five are good enough. Allen, Turner, and Young could legitimately gone in rounds 5, 6, & 7. Harris was rated by PFF as the overall #3 UDFA. And Matthews is a mauler. He was a OT at BYU but will play inside in the NFL

6. D.J. Pettway DE/OLB 6’2- 265 Alabama
7. Trae Elston S 5’11- 195 Ole Miss
8. Marcus Henry C 6’2- 295 Boise St
9. Ken Crawley CB 6’0- 187 Colorado

These guys need a break or an injury to make the final #53, but they're good candidates for the Practice Squad.

10. Joseph Cheek OT 6’6- 295 Texas A&M
11. Jordan Williams WR 6’3- 227 Ball State
12. Dillon Lee LB 6’4- 240 Alabama

A notch below 6-10, but could make the Practice Squad.

13. Michael Caputo S 6’0- 200 Wisconsin
14. Dominique Tovell LB 6’2- 240 ULL
15. Mitchell Loewen DE 6’4- 275 Arkansas
16. Jeff Schoettmer LB 6’1- 233 North Carolina
17. Sione Houma FB 5’11- 243 Michigan
18. Jared Dangerfield WR 6’1- 211 Western Kentucky
19. Tommylee Lewis WR 5’7- 168 Northern Illinois

Camp bodies.

I've got high hopes for Dillon Lee. He's a very smart player and someone I think could definitely contribute big time on special teams.

I'll be pretty disappointed if Landon Turner and Jack Allen don't make the final roster.

If we bring in a vet guard I don't see all 3 interior lineman making the 53. Just my opinion

I wonder why you would say that

I've got high hopes for Avery Young too. He's going to have to move inside in the NFL but I think he can develop into a decent starter at G in time.

Don't sleep on Tovell. Living in Lafayette, I've gone to plenty of games and he just plays his arse off.

Right, agreed. But I think they're all good enough to make the final roster. Maybe one gets injured, or goes on the Practice Squad, but I think they all have the talent to make the final #53. But I agree that it's unlikely that we start the season with 3 UFDA OL's on the final roster.

This. He's been a playmaker for us for a long time. I've seen him destroy many a quarterback.

I'd love to see him developed as an edge rusher. He plays meaner than almost anybody I've ever seen.

That's a nasty OL haul. Kind of like our DLine haul last year. Hopefully they work out.

:kige:

Tovell is also solid in coverage. His junior year (under Saints asst linebacker coach James Willis) he spent time covering the slot and looked good doing so

Of the non-linemen, my money is on Tovall and Dangerfield to make the 53 man roster.

Love the group they signed. Our o-line suddenly looks a lot better. If we sign Slauson, we're all set.

Armstead/Kelemente
Slauson/Young or Matthews
Unger/Allen
Lelito/Turner
Peat/Strief

Crawley and Jordan Williams are very interesting

Williams was viewed as a top 100 prospect by Pauline last year but had a bit of a down year due to QB play. I saw a Greg Jennings comp or 2.

Crawley has size(6 foot) speed (4.43) solid athletic ability and confidence. He trained with Chris Harris junior as well.

The standard on the final 53 is 8:

Starters
Swing Tackle
Tackle/Guard

I tell ya, I don't get no respect. I called my travel agent. He booked me a vacation. 6 days in Puerto Rico. No nights; just days. I said to the guy, what do I do with myself at night? He said, do whatever you want. Just stay out of Puerto Rico.

Harris was rated by PFF as the overall #3 UDFA.

So, you're excited about getting the 3rd best player not drafted according to some computer?
