I know a lot of y’all on here don’t like him and think he’s trash but he’s the QB. And he’s likely our best option right now.

He was thrown into the fire yesterday. We have to give him a week of practice and let Sean tailor the offense around him. The WR’s AND Cook need to step up. The OL has to do its job. And most of all we need to find a running game with Kamara and Murray. We just need to scratch out like 3 wins during this stretch without Drew.

If Bridgewater turns his back to the defense like burrow did last year, No playoffs.

If Bridgewater does like burrow this year out of shotgun always looking at defense, wildcard is possible.

No he's not !!
Let Taysom roll out and throw ,run give us a chance.
Teddy isnt ready
He holds onto the ball to long and stares down recievers.
Teddy cant run the drew brees offense and only 3 qbs in the league can, its not a knock on him, so either change the offense or let Taysom run around and play. I think the Taysom style offense will be more entertaining and when drew gets back Taysom is more if a threat to run/pass.

I'm trying to be positive here. We won't go 0-6, and a win is a win no matter who is playing. Brees comes back with fresh legs too.

Taysom won’t start when you threw buckets of money at Teddy.

I know... But watching him stand there and look for open receivers is the worst...

100% YES

Chase Daniel off of the couch is better.

As much as no one wanted this to be a reality, THIS is a big reason why you traded for and signed him. No, he didn't look great in preseason. No, he didn't look great (though not completely awful) in relief yesterday. But now he, Payton and the team know HE is the guy. Say what you want, but it's a different mindset prepping as the backup to a guy who rarely misses snaps than it is prepping as the starter. Moreover, Payton's game planning for yesterday likely did not take into account Brees not being a part of the game. That all changes this week.

Are the Saints a better or even as good a team without Brees? Of course not. But lets see what happens after a week and more of Bridgewater and the team knowing he is "the man." The Saints' DL had moments of tremenous play yesterday and I suspect if there is ONE guy on the team everyone would want to play for, it's Brees. He's carried this franchise for a LONG time. I'm expecting to see a bunker mentality from the other guys that its now THEIR turn to elevate their play and pick him up.

Thrown into the fire my arse. That’s your job as a backup to be ready at any moment. The rookie Gardner minishew was thrown into the so called fire last week and lit it up.

He goes 3-3 he earned his pay. My greatest fear is Drew never regains his strength and it’s a slow death. Really wanted 9 to go out on top.

Don’t believe. Taysom to the rescue. He is our only chance. Sean knows it too. Watch. 2nd 1/2 vs. Seahawks, Taysom takes over.

Yes, that's true for now.

Don't think he is.

If Taysom has closed the gap in terms of accuracy, which the preseason suggests he may have, then he's demonstrably not the second-best QB available on the current roster. Teddy deserves a full week of practice as QB1, but if he's ineffective, then Taysom deserves a shot starting with Dallas.

Exactly. Taysom has the ability to make plays with his legs in those situations, much more so than Teddy. That's a fact, and it makes Taysom a viable option.

Hill has the opposite problem. He's too quick to tuck and run IMO

Thats the problem, Sean is very stubborn and refuses to be wrong.
Teddy was a miss.
He could have been a starter and he took less money to be a back up.
He dosent want the pressure he wants the check.
Nobody turns down being a starter,Miami and more money to be drew brees back up. There are only 32 starting jobs in the NFL and he said screw it. Hes not 35 on the backside of his carrer hes 28

bridgewater refuses to take any chances. its a mental block that he had in minnesota and it doesnt look like anything has changed. how you can almost throw the ball 3 times in one play and change your mind at the last second is not gonna get it done at this level. noone is gonna be wide open every play, you have to have the confidence to throw it into those tight windows

The biggest problem is our wr’s suck, which all of us knew coming into the season, and Teddy obviously isn’t able to make it work the way an all time great like Brees does. These guys straight up don’t get separation.

Also, Payton refuses to ride Kamara, which pisses me off. Yesterday felt like the most frustrated I’ve seen Kamara, and I got the feeling it was because he kept coming off the field. Then I think he only had like three targets in the passing game. Just seemed like Payton had no interest in using Kamara yesterday.
