I didn't rewatch the game that he wasn't targeted in. But I know Brees well enough to know that if Cooks had gotten separation from the DB, he would have certainly been targeted.

know I was in the minority being pretty down on cooks after his initial season. I have not had any real reason to change that position since.
I am so ready to move past the Cooks era in N.O. He's another wasted first rounder.

See last play v Denver, that was a daring pass, made better by a damn great catch.

Stick to propping up Ensminger for offensive coordinator

Hell, I'd consider him more worthwhile than Evans since Evans drops balls like no tomorrow.

Mike Evans: 6 dropped passes in 2016
Brandin Cooks: 0 dropped passes in 2016

Mike Evans: 11 dropped passes in 2015
Brandin Cooks: 2 dropped passes in 2015

Mike Evans: 4 dropped passes in 2014
Brandin Cooks: 1 dropped pass in 2014

Mike Evans: 21 dropped passes, 410 targets, 5.1% drop rate
Brandin Cooks: 3 dropped passes, 283 targets, 1.1% drop rate

Evans was a 7th overall pick
Cooks was a 20th overall pick

I'm not saying Cooks is better, but Cooks is a better value at 20 than Evans is at 7.

I didn't rewatch much of it either, but I did look at the study that Nick Underhill did. The Rams rolled safety coverage over to Cooks consistently. He saw double teams all day long deep. They really worked to take away the Cooks big play, and that is why the rest of the offense was so freed up.

I'm inclined to think he was laughing at "drops balls"

How about the fact that he's improved every year so far.

Settle down dude. He's a 1,000 yard WR and will continue to be one in the future. Just b/c he's a small guy doesn't mean he's not a good player. We need a deep threat to go along with Thomas & Snead. Our WR's compliment each other very well and make each other better.

He's also more than just a deep threat...he might not be as good as Thomas & Snead at intermediate routes, but he's still pretty good.
