We just released Phillips and Warren...they obviously feel good at Safety. Byrd will be back in a "few weeks"

They said Byrd should be back practicing this week and the injury report comes out today so we'll know for sure.
And if you practice you play. So he'll be back this week or next week for sure IF Rap's report is true.

It's likely needed just to get under the cap. More players count against the cap in regular season, so we may not have been under the cap before this.

Ok I have to apologize to NOSHAU, this just gets us under the cap because when the season starts all 53 players count against the cap instead of the top 51.

Yup all 53 plus the PS plus the IR players, which is why we reached settlements with Powell and Toon because we really need all we can get. Plus you want at least a mil sitting around for an emergency signing.
