The AZ game will be like the test for the first week of study. Here's my watchlist for scoring:

Offensive line cohesiveness- expecting good things out of Grubbs. dlP was kinda outta nowhere last year and did well. Can he repeat? Critical year for Charles Brown. Can rookies Tiller or Marcel Jones make a mark?

Backup QB- As Vitt says, no one has a scholarship here. Some good reports on McCown. Don't assume Daniel has it wrapped up.

WR Battle- prolly the highest profile competition in camp. Some poor reports on Devery and Morgan has been inconsistent. AA time finally? Toon losing reps won't help him.

TE shootout- some fresh faces along with head banging David Thomas fighting for spots

Pass rush- likely most fappable game aspect if showing improvement. beast looking rookie Broughton, Jordan stepping up, Juneyah fulfilling hopes, McBride uninjured, and the Tez experiment all could be a part of the DL generating better pressure.

DTs- wanna see some Bunkley stuffing for the price paid him, Ellis some contract year fire?, wanna see some of the Hicks raw skills in action

Linebackers- like opening a Christmas present, if it's half as much fun as the anticipating it there could be a lot of excitement here top to bottom.

DBs- with Greer & PRob out there will be even more opportunity for White, Mack, & Johnson to shine. Can Nelson or Gumbs challenge IAQ or Amaya?

KR- open door for a backup or part timer behind Sproles.

K- It's Hartley's to lose but Kasay has been winning so far in practices

Offensive rhythm- glitchless smoove rolling like Carmichael's first game called (vs. Indy) will bode well

Defensive look- anxious to see line generated pressure and blitzes I cannot tell when coming. Not looking for sterling results this week with so many new parts out there in a completely new scheme.

Whatcha got?

When Kasay lines up for a kick I'm confident. When Hartley lines up for a kick I'm not.

I know a few Saints players, they tell me it's a business so the fact that there is buzz around Toon and he was drafted in the 4th rather be AA a relatively unknown who's been in the league since 08 Toon will get the 4th spot automatically. Its like drafting a high pick but there's an undrafted player way better, who's gonna get the PT, of course the drafted player. AA and Toon will make the roster tho. Perfect example Ingram and Ivory, who's better?Ivory who'll play more? Ingram

So keeping Pierre Thomas, who was undrafted, over 4th round pick Antonio Pittmam was the wrong move?

Gotcha

You're an idiot.

First we had Bush, he cancelled that out. No one really cared that we drafted Pittman, and we clearly see why we let him go and kept PT when he played for the Rams, pure garbage, is he still even in the league? lol

Oh and Bush was a top pick and he brought in publicity and money, wonder why we didn't let him go until his contract ran out cause he wasn't worth the money, all hell would have broke loose if we'd got rid of him earlier and don't be surprised when Ingram is gone after his contract is up.

H.O.F games are always almost unwatchable, 'cept this year of course.

Looking for speed and pressure from the DE positions. Just want to see some potential. Also the sub packages and 3rd down personel.

Will the SHANLE be a starter along with Roby?

Who will be there watching the game in the stands?

You said a draft pick will AUTOMATICALLY get the nod over undrafted player, correct?

He then used your logic to ask the question, if keeping PT over Pittman was a poor choice?

There was no deviation from your logic. You're just reaching at this point.

Now to actually address football, both will probably make the team. But, if Toon makes it and AA does not, it will not be because of draft pedigree. I think AA's experience in the system trumps any area that Toon might edge him in.

If that's so why did Ingram get and still will get more PT than Ivory when it's clear who the better player is. Basically everyone's expecting Toon to be on the field(everyone:fans who just know names). We might know Adrian Arrington is the better player right now but when it comes to business, no one gives a shite. Toon will bring in more money than Arrington.

Who the hell knows this as a fact like you do?

Again. That was last year. Who knows that as a fact for this year?

What in the hell does Bush have to do with this and what does he cancel out? Bush in no way compares to the type of back Thomas is or Pittman was that year. I have no idea what you are trying to get at with that statement.

Wait, do you guys want to bet. You don't here about Ivory more than Ingram. Last year all you heard was Ingram looks great, Ingram is doing great, when the season came I saw flashes nothing else.

My bet is Ivory shows he's still better, Ingram gets more playing time tho and Toon gets 4th spot. $100

I get info from saints players, my sister dates one of them. Bet?

Pittman was trash and he was expendable. Let's say Bush was just as garbage, would we have gotten rid of him? No not at all because of the money he brought in.

As far as Ivory goes, if he could hold on to the ball and stay healthy, he would get more PT.

You obviously do not know a damn thing about football, and if this is the people our players hang out with, then God help this team.

And that's definitely what you want out of your 4th wide receiver.

STAR POWER

Cut the shite man.

Back to thread topic. I think the one thing most of us would like to see is pressure from the front line. But, we've seen that act before from our defense in the pre-season. So, whatever the results, I'll temper my reactions.
