This sort of implies that Lelito is currently winning the battle for the starting job. Lelito has experience playing guard (don't recall Goodwin ever doing so). It would make sense to me that, if Goodwin were starting, Lelito would simply back up all 3 interior OL positions. If Lelito were starting, I would figure that Goodwin would back him up at C, and a guard injury would simply move Lelito out and put Goodwin at C. Giving Goodwin reps at guard makes me think that they would prefer an injury to Evans/Grubbs not changing two interior OL positions (whatever starter is injured + moving Lelito). Or maybe I'm just over analyzing this.
