Oh by no means do i think we have probowl DBs, i just dont feel his tricks and cuts would fool seasoned players. (in the terms of making an "immediate difference")

I think it's worth a tryout, put him up against Brees and Moore/Morgan/Henderson and see what he has.

I'd love for it to happen, and i'd love to see it if it did happen. I welcome all overachievers and I do wish him success cause he does have talent, but its really up to him how important it is.

as opposed to people thinking its easy to play CB in the NFL?

he couldnt cover the outside and was average in the slot in coverage, yet he would be the best CB on the Saints?

lol

No, he would be the best DB on the saints. He wasn't the best CB on LSU last year but Claiborne did not merit an invitation to NY.

Yeah it's hard to play corner but somehow 31 other teams have guys who do it much better than ours

well, he garnered his accolades in the slot, rushing the passer, chasing plays, free lancing of sorts. Much deserving, no doubt. But lining up and covering NFL WR's is a little different than playing the role he played at LSU.

and on another NFL, manning up agaisnt NFL OT's and RBs on blitzes, which was his bread and butter in college.... good luck.

I think he has a place in the NFL. But to say he'd be the Saints best defensive back is laughable.

Having Claiborne allowed him to play the role he did. Claiborne is on a whole different level. Guarding WRs outside, playing the ball in the air, running step for step with guys... Not even comparable

Dude, no one thinks that. Some of us are just smart enough to realize that an undersized DB with suspect cover skills, who hasn't played in 10 months, and has never gone against a NFL player, wouldn't step on the field today and be better than NFL DBs.

Mathieu is a lot quicker though I know what you mean though. Mathieu is a playmaker, a guy who is always around the ball. Remember that Buffalo game from 2001? I think Sammy picked off three passes that game. All coming against Rob Johnson I think.

Sammy Knight, i think it was in 2002 he helped win me some money. Was against Chicago and he intercepted the ball ending the game.

Was able to get a Les Paul because of that.

based on the latest picture of him getting arrested, the Badger looks quite fat and doesn't look ready for football of any kind
