But that didn't change the punishment

How are these situations even comparable?

And this is exactly why Goodell won't resign, be fired, or have any consequences whatsoever. The owners have his back and vice-versa; all becuase of the $. Simple as that.

Yeah, I don't get where people think Goodell will get fired. The public HATED David Stern and journalists would fall over themselves to write David Stern is the Devil articles. The Commissioner's job is to take the heat for the owners. Social Media gives public outrage more power than ever, so it is possible things get so hot Goodell burns, but in general a PR fiasco focusing on Goodell rather than the owners is what he's paid for.

Goodell mishandled a situation arising when some hoodrat does hoodrat stuff in a hoodrat league?

I guess you didn't read the article then

Goodell showed favoritism to the Ravens. He is not impartial and should be fired.

Stern was always "I'm smarter than you", Goddell is that and holier than thou.

Is impartiality is his job description?

You just said hoodrats got caught doing hoodrat stuff.
Beating their wives, being overly violent on the field.

We got punished for allegedly lying about one; Goodell doesn't get punished for lying about the other.

Nope. I personally couldn't care less about this whole shite.

He's been mishandling situations on a bad scale for the last half decade. Is it such a surprise?

Spygate - 1st rounder and a bunch of fines
Bountygate - 2 2nd rounders, HC/DC suspended for a year, GM for 8, and LB coach for 6.

Substance abuse/Drug suspensions - extreme (4games-1yr-indefinite)

Rape, Abuse allegations, Domestic violence, conduct policy (2 games - 8 games?) Has there been one longer than 8 games? Roethlisberger comes to mind with 6. Chris Henry comes to mind with 8.

Bounty players - 1yr, 8 games, 4 games, and 3 games

Covering up the details of serious domestic violence seems like a pretty big deal.

I mean, why did Goodell even do this?
Is Ray Rice even that big of a star anymore?

Employees of the league got punished for allegedly lying to their employers about a practice I'm the course of business which is detrimental to the health of its employees and it's product. Now we all know that's bullshite, but that's what happened.

The situation is completely different. Like has absolutely nothing in common.

I'm as pissed as anyone about the bounty gate bullshite but comparing it to this situation makes 0 sense.

He didn't hide them from a police investigation or anything. He just didn't go to the general public with the news. Which isn't a crime nor is it even his job.

I'm...extremely dubious he actually only did this.

it sets up a pattern of inconsistency, hypocrisy and poor judgment.

"Goodell mishandled a situation arising when some hoodrat does hoodrat stuff in a hoodrat league" implies that it was simply a mistake

Goodell purposely covered up the situation, which is completely different.

I see you've now edited your post to include "Everyone already knows Goodell is a moron and her covers things up"

Yeah well, we can all act like we "already knew" all we want, but when he's caught red-handed, he should meet the consequences of his actions, that's why people are upset

It also provides further proof that someone in the NFL a knew the contents of the video 48 hours after it happened.

If this story is accurate then that's bullshite. He was telling half truths when justifying his 2 game ban for Rice. "I didn't see the video" may have been technically correct, but he still knew exactly what happened.
