Brees missing multiple games means this season is officially over. Even if it's something like 6-8 weeks (speculating), it's over and we should shut him down. There is absolutely no reason to start McCown at all.

Start Grayson. See what he can do. And when we are staring pick #1 in the face, maybe we draft our franchise QB like the Colts did with Luck.

Either way, this really sucks. Waiting all year and only for this to happen.

Holy shite, the thought of what this team will look like without Brees

The season isn't technically lost so there's no way that it won't be Luke for at least 3-4 weeks (longer if he wins a couple).

Grayson wouldn't start until we were close to being eliminated IMO.

too early to start him, keep him in the bullpen, play McCown and see what he brings to start. with a short hook

This team looked like they would struggle to even sniff .500 with Brees, without him, this is easily the worst team in the league, and I mean that without even the slightest hint of hyperbole.

We'll likely be 0-6 or 1-5 by mid-October. That's eliminated.

I doubt Sean would do it. He's got a weird thing for ancient backups.

We'll lose our Verizon endorsement if we start McCown.

Sadly I think Sean Payton is too arrogant to do that

The sad truth is McCown may not even make it through Game 1 with the way our line has been blocking.

We are eliminated if Brees misses more than 4 games at QB. With him, we were all talking about a 5 win season. Without him? I can't even imagine.

I think this year would be the year to draft a qb. I like guys like nkemdiche and treadwell and I think they can help us but with guys like goff, cooks and hackenburg I think we should try to get one of them. You can draft a good WR, OL, or CB with one of the top picks in the second round
