feel the same on White

L.A., exactly what I was saying about the wide disparity on CB ratings concerning Sidney Jones.

CB then rusher is entirely possible but I'm seeing a much deeper pool of CBs than edge rushers in the 32 range. Plus, I'm still hoping, wishing, and praying for us to hit on that dynamic pass rusher that demands accounting for every play. Across from Jordan will be an extremely sweet spot for such a guy. A threat there could end up elevating Jordan from the 8 to 10 sack range to the 12 to 16 range also.

This board would explode if we took Howard at 11 then McCaffrey at 32

Well you can't sit there and talk defense and do that.

they will draft our next QB with the 32nd pick. Give them the fifth year option. Pat mahones will be wearing number 8 for the saints

Howard will be gone before 32. Dude will be a stud!

11-Barnett/Thomas/Foster (anyone of them)
32-Engram

I'd rather McCaffrey than Engram but Howard will be a stud. He will be gone in the mid rounds most likely

Sidney Jones driven out of Dempsey on a cart. Had his left leg elevated.
They're putting Sidney Jones on an equipment cart. Stood on sideline for a while consulting with a few coaches, etc. Left leg injury.

That thought entered my mind between mahonnes and Watson

Ideally I'd like
Thomas/ Sidney jones/engram/Riley/ dline
Thomas/white/engram/ Riley/ dline

Engram needs to bulk up to be an NFL tight end

Agreed, but he's a mismatch on linebackers. Good weapon to have.

I'd much rather oj Howard but it looks like he'll be off the board in the teens

It's not as bad as I thought actually and a 4.42 at the combine makes the size almost irrelevant. He'd be our fastest receiver

that is a great point about a QB and real attraction about the #32 pick

I think Trubinsky and Watson surely gone. Not sure if Mahomes or Kaaya rate enough for #32 but if they do I could see it.

With no player attached (like Butler or Unger in the Graham trade) the outcome of this selection will fully determine if the trade is a success.

For some reason I feel like Butler might be part of all of this

the deal is complete, finished, nada, no more , its over, nothing else connected, done.

there is no "more to come" unless its a completely separate deal where we give up more draft picks for butler

Engram is about the same size as Jordan Reed when he was drafted.

Barnett at 11 unless you can trade back for additional picks
Engram at 32
Best CB available at 42

He couldn't be part of the deal because he hasn't signed. BUTTTTTTTT it is absolutely possible that the Saints and Patriots have an agreement already for when he signs.

Pats get back pick #32

then the deal would be:

Cooks + 4th round pick

for

Butler + 3rd round pick

I think we absolutely need someone like mcaffery to move the chains and avoid our 2 quarter swoons of ineptitude before coming alive again later in games. This offense goes from a statistically good one to a FU try and stop us offense when we put pressure down the seems and have a dangerous pass catching Rb who can break big gains a constantly move to chains.

I think at the tail end of Drew's career a weapon like mcaffery at 32 would help us win a lot more games than trying to draft yet another early round corner who may work out or may not. Nobody is a sure think but I think CM skill set in this offense is an absolute match made in heaven. We could then grab another corner in the 2nd.

I don't see how anyone could be against Mcaffrey at 32.

Screen game, angle routes, etc. Offense could be 2011 dangerous.
