You say it, doesn't mean I believe it.

You're wanting to throw away the best coach in the Saints tenure, who is still a top 5 HC in this league, for an unknown because "he's lost it". Like finding another top 5 HC in this league is as easy as going to the market and picking one out.

You're off your rocker. You'd be the first one to say the FO are idiots for letting him go when we get another Haslett or Ditka.

It's especially funny how bad you just failed with your math considering you tried to crucify me with this

quote:

Its also funny that you can't do simple math. CSP ranks 6th overall in win%, but that is "about 25%" of all head coache, it isn't even 20%

I almost immediately responded to a question asking how long I had been watching the Saints with "since Toi Cook". I'll give you a minute, google him

So McCarthy and Payton are pretty damn comparable the last 3 seasons, with the statistical edge going to Payton.

Yet McCarthy is a top 5 coach, and Payton is going towards rock bottom

McCarthy has won his division the past 3 years and probably will again. His team is also performing better this season. So yes, I think right now he's a better coach

I could go back and say "I've watched basketball since Pistol Pete". See how that works?

You want to give up a top 5 HC for an unknown. That is as dumb as people saying they want to give up Brees for draft picks.

Because top 5 coaches and qbs are readily available.

Address your egregious math on the previous page and then get back to me

McCarthy has won his division.

And we had more playoff success.

They won their division last year at 8-7-1 while we had 11 wins. If we win our division this year, does that make us better than SF? The Ravens possibly?

His team is also performing better this season.

Which is accounted for and Payton still comes out ahead

so last year, when he was 8-7-1.

Payton was better?

Or was Rodgers' injury the excuse you were going to use?

Lots of people here have used defensive injuries for excuses, so sure. Wouldn't you use that if Brees got hurt? Still waiting on your math explaination

It's very hard to pay a QB the mega contract and have a contending roster. Good thing they won in 2009. Seattle is about to face the same thing when they have to pay Russell Wilson all that money.

6/32 is 18.75, it should be more of "address your english"

which I can admit I typed it up way too fast to make sense, but sure.

if he has the 6th highest win %, elite coaches are not top 25% (top 8), and not top 18.75% (top 6)

What is elite? top 2 or 6.25% of coaches?

I'm talking about your post on playoff ppg. You missed by nearly 50% on the ppg given up by GB

I'll quote it again for you

quote:

Sean Payton 6-4 playoffs: 10 games: 302 points scored (30.2ppg), 274 points allowed (27.4ppg) +2.8ppg Mike McCarthy 6-5 playoffs: 11 games: 323 points scored (29.4ppg), 195 points allowed (26.8ppg)

Which is why Green Bay, the Ravens, the Broncos, the 49ers, and the Cowboys all suck

Its very hard to pay your guards $21+ million and have them rate as 2 of the worst in football.

it was supposed to be 295, but typing errors happen. My math is right still 295/11 = 26.8

If they give Wilson a mega contract, they're dumb

You can already see it this year and that's with having to pay certain defensive players and letting solid rotation players go.

Dynasties are hard to form for this reason. Gotta hit in the draft consistently, not make mistakes with overpaying players, and have players paying above their wage.
