1) NOT signing Andy Dalton to a one-year deal as a backup QB and mentor to D. Carr

2) NOT giving J. Winston his out right release

3) NOT drafting that Tulane RB from Ponchatoula (T. Spears) instead of the TCU RB (Miller, nursing a bad knee presently)

1) LOL @ Dalton mentoring Carr, much less anyone else.

2) Jameis is the best backup QB in football.

3) Spears has no ACL in one of his legs, limiting his career longevity. Miller is very young and can play 8-10 seasons.

All three are terrible takes. Pay attention to football more. You might learn a few things.

Dalton 12 seasons 38150 yds 244tds 144ints

Carr 9 seasons 35222 yds 217 tds 99 ints

Winston is here for a reason

He’s the 3rd back no big deal

LOL, I'm pretty sure Carr will be alright without "mentoring"

They should have done this during the 2022 season, but a 1 year back up deal for 2023 isn't a BAD move.

Apparently you didn't read the article about Spears medical eval, where it was learned that his knees may be shot from the workload he had at Tulane.

Terrible takes. Would not read again.

Please explain what you would hope for in a mentorship by Dalton.

Pretty close to spot on with your takes, snipe. One thing, though.

I actually may pull this up when I need a good laugh.

Dalton being drafted 3 years prior to Carr qualifies him as a mentor? Dude...

Had to think about your #2... Best backup QB... personally I'd rather bring Fourcade back, but you make a good point. Jameis does do better when he comes off the bench with something to prove...

Found the dude that doesn’t know how the cap works

You realize Dalton wasn’t under contract and Jameis took a pay cut?

I know right

Even Victory, Burke or Keek could have gotten 2 out of 3!

Mine would've been:

THREE bad moves by the Saints for the 2023 season

1. Signing Derek Carr
2. Re-signing Jameis Winston
3. Not firing Dennis Allen
