Its pre season, defensive game plan was very vanilla. Also we were missing more than half of our starters. During the season the offense will carry the defense this year. 8-8 floor, 12-4 ceiling.
Ryan is not the answer or the future, but he isn't gonna get shite canned until the off season. His replacement is already on the staff waiting in the wings.

Only thing I am willing to bet on is having a healthy Drew and an improved offensive line will result in us finishing at or above .500. I don't see anything better or worse on defense than last year, so yeah, I'm willing to say we will improve our record from last year.

I've been locked in on 5-11 for weeks now. And it freakin' kills me. Seems most realistic. I think the next couple, few years aren't going to be pretty. A big overhaul is needed.

Serious question: How long do you think the leash is here? If we stink it up on defense, especially if we blow some leads, how long does Rob stay?
This team will live and die by how well our defense plays. I've been happy with the little I've seen out of our O, and with improved line play Drew & Co should keep us in games.
But can the defense get a crucial stop or TO when they need it?
