I mean it is very obvious that Anthony, breaux, kikaha, and swan have good nfl talent for rookies.

So he got them in the door, that's his job

Anthony is racking up tackles but its not obvious he's a difference making LB yet for a 1st round pick. Kikaha has done well enough. I mean Swann almost had to play due to all the injuries. Breaux is not part of this class. Hard to say much else about class.

Breaux is essentially part of this class. Takes scouting to bring him in

PT was an udfa, but I'd consider that part of that season's rookie acquisitions

look i'm not saying its a bad class but there's an awful lot to be determined still on this class. We can easily look back on this class 2 years from now and say "shite frick" literally shite frick.

Right, but will that be the fault of the guy who brought them in or poor player development? I think it is clear that the possess the athleticism and skills to play in this league

mickey ain't ever got this pass. i've often said the 4 different D coordinators swapping around and always trying to find different types of guys then switching shite up hurt.

Fine line to argue between player dev and bad picks.

Maybe, but I can already say that Anthony, Kikaha and Murphy were solid picks

We have had 1 good draft in 5 years and that is thanks to Ireland. Overpaid Byrd, galette, Browner, Evans making too much and there are several others

The statement about the draft is true. No debating that but I think it's unfair to blame the front office for these FA signings.

At the time, Byrd was one the best safeties in the league. Sure he was coming off of an injury but it wasn't supposed to affect his play. Galette was a premiere pass rusher in his prime. Maybe there were warning signs of him being a jackass but the events that took place couldn't be predicted. Evans was an All Pro guard and was still playing at a high level when he signed his contract. Browner was a contributor on two Super Bowl teams and was known as a good locker room guy.

It's easy to critique these moves now but at the time none of them were viewed as bad at the time of the signings.

Evans was signed in 2010 when he was probably the best guard in the game.

He's overpaid now, but his cap hit was $5.2m in 2011 and $3.3m in 2012
