The Atlanta Falcons are clearing out head coach Dan Quinn's top lieutenants.

The Falcons fired offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, defensive coordinator Marquand Manuel and special teams coordinator Keith Armstrong on Monday, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Around The NFL will have more on the firings soon.

Saw a report they're already talking to Gary Kubiak. Would be a massive get for them. He's a fantastic coach.

Someone is going to get some nice coordinators. I get that some of those guys are dead washcloths but its illogical to think that all of them are.

fricking blows they fired Sark. He was clearly an issue and I'd (foolishly) hoped they'd keep him.

Manuel I'm unsure on. That defense has been up and down. I think I'd be okay if he had stayed.

while i wont say some of them needed to go

personally the only coaching issues i saw with that team was the HC not the assistants

maybe some were an issue but the HC was 90% of atlantas problem yet he is still there

its great news for us because this means next year atlanta will be a dumpster fire again

Yep. I was hoping he stayed at least 1 more year. The offense looks so dysfunctional compared to the year before they hired him.

Hope they don’t get Kubiak. I don’t want to play that damn cut block system 2x year. Feel like we always had a ton of injuries when we played Houston.

John Elway said today that Kubiak will be back in Denver next year, either in his personnel role or on the field

It's gonna really be hard to screw up the falcons' offense with Jones, Ridley, Coleman, Ryan, and getting freeman back. They screwed it up this year though, so hopefully they find a way

Don't worry, Saban will hire them all as Analysts.

Increasing his staff to 72 coaches in all.

This puts the cross hairs on Quinn for 2019. Here is the biggest deal....Sark should go.... the redzone offense was so inconsistent with all that talent.

I think Manuel is a great coach but he may have been given the DC title to quickly and got over his head a bit...with the injuries on D this year I feel like he did what he could.

Special teams were nothing special...

I think 2019 will be the year to either make a huge jump or completely blow up the franchise.

They have the pieces and will load up the Def in the draft and grab some depth on WR and OL...hopefully a stud TE in either FA or in the draft.
