is it a written rule to not openly cheer for a team in the box or is it just an understood way to handle yourself when you work in that field?

it could be written or unwritten, not sure. But it is def frowned upon.

It is in writing and announced in the press box before the game. "Those who cheer in the press box will be removed".

Interesting. No doubt there are people in every field of life who get away with more than others. Hebert is obviously one of those. I'm sure it has to do with former NFL player status. These guys are put on pedestals that no one can knock them down from....some get away with "murder."

What about that guy in the background in the other section? Are those press boxes as well? If so I wonder what status he carries to be able to stand and cheer.

And who is the guy sitting right next to Hebert laughing (the one in grey, not the one with binoculars)? The bearded one seems to take it hard but the guy next to Hebert just seems to laugh it off. Is that the guy that is supposedly with the Jets?

Like I said, those guys have been on pedestals their entire life. Nobody tries to take them down.

You might as well tell everyone in the Superdome to be quiet so we don't hurt the opposing teams feelings. I'm not picking sides here but seriously who did he offend besides you earl? I didn't see Sanchez crying about some mean cajun man who was rooting for the team he has been a huge part of and loved his whole life. It's like you have to argue or find some small flaw in everything. If your a Saints fan Earl sit back, relax and enjoy the fact that we are 4-0. We as Saints fans need to stick together (and we also have to root for Reggie).

I think Bobby is a great guy and I don't have a problem with it. I've been laughing all week, so that's a good thing. He's a good ole boy from south Louisiana who has a ton of passion.

I don't have a problem with Bobby celebrating. Seemed like most of the guys in the booth found it entertaining as well.

he's not a professional journalist, brah. he's an ex Saints player who grew up in La that loves this team. He hosts a radio show, not to report news (although the news comes through with it), but to offer a venue for fans to call in and cheer on this team with him.

you know what that means? he's a fan, and he has the right to act like one. he gets paid to be a fan, and that's great for him. i can give a frick less what any of those other douche bags int the press box thinks, because Hebert>>>>>>>>>>>> all of them

This. He's the founding father of the Who Dat Nation. FWIW Maybe he should use his field pass instead.

Because of this celebration, the Falcon years don't exist in my official memory.

Though, a friend of mine pointed something out to me:

He was 23, twenty-three, twenty-freakin'-three, games over .500 as a starter for the Saints. Wow. For the Saints. The Saints. And he freakin' blew with the Falcons (7-18). So, you can't help but forgive him. He did the two things Saints fans want: he made the Saints better and he made the Falcons suck.
