he's not a professional journalist, brah. he's an ex Saints player who grew up in La that loves this team. He hosts a radio show, not to report news (although the news comes through with it), but to offer a venue for fans to call in and cheer on this team with him.
you know what that means? he's a fan, and he has the right to act like one. he gets paid to be a fan, and that's great for him. i can give a frick less what any of those other douche bags int the press box thinks, because Hebert>>>>>>>>>>>> all of them

Hellz Yeah!
I remember working in New Orleans after Katrina doing hurricane recovery and the only thing that could get me through the end of the day was the Cannon on the radio!! That and drinking ice cold beer and pounding poboys at Acme!

rds dc: Bandwagon Alert!!!!!!! Get 'em, Lester.
Also, Cajun Cannon: I've never seen anyone wearing reading glasses arm-pump 'Eff you!' so eloquently.

Anybody who is upset with this clip hates not only the Saints and the state of Louisiana, but Christianity and America as well and probably has his/her way with underage barnyard animals.

hey now
It's just ignorant to demand someone leave the press box for showing emotions for the team they love.
Unless you want emotionless grey pale robots only doing the reporting. Me I'll take emotion, spirit, pride and joy. All the things that makes life enjoyable, which the lack of explains some very grey/bland/negative people who post here.

Obviously he doesn't have to...yet.... Media members acting like bitches... nothing new.

It's still hard for me to even fathom ANY ONE in that press box sitting silently to a play like that, even if it is their job. Any express of emotion would be nice for the rest of the crew around the cannon. I know I wouldn't be able to work for the media. I would get fired after the first game working in there.

This is Starting to become one of my favorite videos, and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Maybe it's because of his passion towards the team. I would definetley prefer an analyst who loves the team he is talking about then dan douchenugget talking about our team when he knows jack-shite about us.

frick stupid press box protocol. Full of a bunch of idiots that ask the same stupid fricking cliche questions to every player.

The guy next to Herbert is NOT a Jets guy. That's Mark Shafeese (sp?) from WWL radio.

Lester, is that more press boxes in the background? I don't think it is suites but I'm not sure. If so, I see someone else on their feet with both hands in the air. I don't think Hebert's reaction or cheering is bad on such a play but the pumping of F-U fists is not called for in the box. I think everyone knows he wasn't hired to do the games because of his reporting ability. I do have a serious question though, is it a written rule to not openly cheer for a team in the box or is it just an understood way to handle yourself when you work in that field?
