If you make a tackle, look up and see TD signal and then the ball on the ground I’m assuming the play is dead
Should have been blown dead in the endzone - touchback for the Saints. Technically there was no continuation when the ref signaled TD before the play was over and the ball was eight yards away.

Man I don’t know what some of y’all are talking about. As long as I’ve watched football, if that ball comes out defenders sprint to get it just in case.
Every week you see a play blown dead, ball pops out, defenders rush over to get ball anyway.
I have a better example. Every time a qb or rb reach for end zone in short yardage situation, they reach, play blown dead, ball pops out, defenders still go to recover ball every time.
I’m surprised y’all acting like it’s natural to just stop play at whistle even if ball pops out. That’s just not a thing that happens, ever.

Yeah earlier in the game someone picked up an obvious incompletion and ran it back like 80 yards and Jones chased him the whole way.
That said Adebo is a good player. Gotta expect some growing pains

I don’t think either of the Saints defenders “saw the ball get stripped”.
Watch the replay. Williams looks over to Adebo with a look and motion like why didn't you jump on the ball. Williams was under the receiver and could not have gotten to the ball. Adebo clearly could have.
