I was coming here to type Atlanta or Jax to take Gurly. You beat me to it. Watch Jax roll with it though. Would be a huge move for the draft overall

That would likely drop Fowler to Washington at #5. Still probably too much for a trade up but I have him up there with Williams on the defensive side.

A healthy Todd Gurley will do well in the NFL. With a new stadium coming he would help put butts in the seats.

Your right man. I used the plural by mistake. I should have said "a butt".

if the stadium is an a-hole and falcons fans are dicks, what does that mean when they all are in the stadium?

Math

2 QBs, 3 WRs
+
for sure gones Fowler, Williams, Beasley, Scherff

that's 9, subtract 3 from

Waynes, Shelton, Dupree, Ray, Gregory

and yer down to choosing between 2

I think these are the two most likely. Gurly I am thinking is probably at this point. Since the knee is checking out, he will shoot up like black tar at christmas

There us even an article on nfl.com that DGB could go in the top 10

What is interesting this year is there is so much uncertainty even amongst mock drafts. Player are jumping around 15 or more places on the board. It's going to be good year to move down and have lots of pics.

So if this draft goes heavy D early &, God for bid, Amari slips to 13, despite our needs, what does Mickey do?

Hopefully pull the trigger immediately. It's not like we have even a little depth at wr at this point. If you get a guy who could be a Marvin Harrison type player for a decade, you jump at it IMO. Will also make transition at qb easier if he lives up to his potential. I'm very much of the mindset that it will be easier for the staff and FO to build our offense back to a dominant force that puts relentless pressure on on the opposition. This would significantly help our current pass rushers /defense and is more likely than us hitting on a bunch of defensive studs AND them immediately paying dividends in the twilight of Drew's career.

I don't think its bare just young. Watson and hill are good at TE. Spillar I think will be dynamic. Colston and Cooks are good. Morgan coming back could be a boost to stretching the field. Then Coleman and Jones and Saunders have a chance to make the squad along with we hope a continuing improving Toon. Add a 1st or second round WR pick and a QB who makes a cactus look good receiving the ball and I think we are ok.

Hard to imagine Cooper not being the BPA by a long ways if he is still on the board. #7 or 8 overall is as low as I could put him.

The schedule looks like a gift. Cooper would be the same. Paired with Cooks- yikes! Jimmy who ?- fo sho. Would make saying goodbye to Colston a whole lot easier.

I think this is more fandom and hope speaking than reality. Colston has not been good for 2 seasons now. He had some horrendous drops last year, and he doesn't get open the way he used to. Granted much of his game is using his frame like a TE against smaller DBs, but he seems to have lost a lot from when he was relevant. I think we can rely on him, but not with great certainty.

Cooks is our main man now. After him, there's nothing but hope in unknowns. Toon has had more than enough time to prove himself, and he hasn't. The rest are undrafted crap shoots. While we have Spiller, he is still a RB and not WR. WR is a crucial position, and it is one that is old and past its prime at one spot while young and hail mary hopeful at the others.

Basically, it is a position of need. I would take Cooper over most anyone else in this draft. He may even be my number one target for the Saints at this point.
