I've had tickets since 04 and am well aware of the upgrades they did post Katrina. Yes, it was a nice improvement, but it was long overdue. And after seeing the screens in several other pro and college stadiums, I think they could use an upgrade to HD. And it's not just for the Saints (Sugar Bowl, Super Bowl, Final Fours, etc.). It's something they'll do eventually; I'd just rather it happen sooner than later.

It will happen for the Super Bowl. Book it.

When people bitch about the upper deck at the dome I simply take it as an admission that they've never been to another NFL stadium

Alexandro/Emperor.....Wrong!---i have been to both the Redskins and Ravens stadiums when i lived in D.C. for several games. both these stadiums "nosebleed" seats are comparable to our "upper-plaza" seating. its a design thing.and no fear of tripping and falling to your death like in the Dome...losing the Dome would by like losing an old girlfriend. youd miss her but move on. i would rather us build a new modern stadium now then 10 years from now when it will cost 20x as much..

They definitely need to upgrade the screens (if not in size, at least HD).

Haha no shite looking at that tv during the game is like looking at an old dial tv. If I have to see a replay I watch the little tiny tv hanging above our section... 116 I think

They are in the process of re doing the inside right now. They started the day after the NFC Championship game.

Yeah, but what are they actually "re doing". Is there a list of shite somewhere?

You would've hated the $12 hot dog at the Super Bowl then.

You guys need to remember that following Hurricane Katrina, the renovation was the biggest rebuilding project of a stadium in US history. The interior received a complete facelift and several new features were added including new video boards including a the ribbon board system, complete transformation of the four big Club Rooms.

Work continues on replacement of the aluminum outer skin and new escalators for club level patrons to directly access the club level from the exterior of the Dome

As part of the planned $85 million upgrade, over the course of time between now & the Super Bowl, the list is as follows:

- Press box moved to upper Terrace (this offseason)

- Over a dozen new suites built in place of the press box (this offseason)

- Expanded Plaza Concourse—The Dome’s Plaza Level concourse will be widened by 50 feet, providing better access, more food service areas, more specialty stands, more souvenir stands and more restrooms (next offseason)

- New Sideline Seating--Complete replacement of the Plaza Level sideline seats, moving them closer to the action, resulting in improved sightlines, 3,100 additional sideline seats and improved disabled seating (next offseason)

- New Club Suites—Located under both sides of the new Plaza Level stands, the suites will have beautiful furnishings, a full service bar, and will be convenient to the sideline seats and parking in the Dome garages (next offseason)

- Saints Locker Room will be renovated & expanded

- Additional upgrades will be made to the Dome Cafe & Coors Cold Zone located on the Plaza Level and to the team store

I know a lot of you are going to groan about this, but they need to add a smoking deck for the upper levels. Takes almost a whole quarter to walk to the area and back now.

You can't hold that urge for a few hours????

frick no man, after 4 or 5 dome foams and an hour and a half of stressing the frick out, you gotta go chainsmoke a couple cigarettes before you have to fight the 16000 other people trying to get back in as their coughing on you and forcing themselves through the same 3 foot entrance. Ahhh, the enjoyment of killing yourself just a little bit everyday....

HOW ABOUT USHERS TO MAKE ALL YOU figs, WHO GET UP EVERY TWO SECONDS BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BLADDER THE SIZE OF A WALNUT, WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT TV TIMEOUT BEFORE YOU CAN INTERRUPT THE GAME FOR EVERYONE AROUND YOU. I remember when I went to a Chicago Blackhawks game and they made me wait until the whistle blew until I could walk to my seats, I was amazed at how simple but how dramatic a change it would be if the Superdome did this. I think we can afford to hire some frickin clowns to stand their for 3 hours, 8 weeks out of the year. Look out, I'm putting our tax payers money to good use and Im creating jobs. Ive done more work than Obama has in over a year.

First off they need to address the ramps.

Before Katrina no one fell or slid down the ramps when it had carpet, now it just has some rough surface that will just tear your knees up when your fall, and many people have.

Also leave up the two end-zone Jumbotrons but put two more massive ones in the hanging area were the original screens were.

More restrooms.

More food options

Easier way for crowd to get to street level when leaving the games.
(I want to kill those SMC security guards who guard the walkway leading to the arena, if they would let people go that way it would help alot)

Oh and to the guy that hates his "nosebleed" tickets, I will buy them from you right now at double the price you pay for them...

Haha, no shite, I have to beg my dad to bring me to the fricking games because he has such good tickets that he either sells them for 50x the price he paid for them or his friends talk him into bringing them. So be thankful for what you got, I'd gladly sit up there if I could get season tickets myself, but I've been on the waiting list for 4 years now

Could not agree with you more. I have to shuffle my feet to prevent myself from wiping out each game. When I first saw this in 2006 I figured it was temporary until that offseason to resume renovations and install the "mardi gras" carpet. I supposecarpet has become expensive since 1975.

1000x this
why force everyone either to the budbridge or the 2 abreast stairs in the upper deck parking garage
spread out the crowds

You can't walk over those bridges because the visiting team busses are in that area underneath.
