This is all so crazy. Because we've never had a dog in the fight, we've never really had to worry about how we were going to watch the Super Bowl. If y'all are like me, you love the Super Bowl, but you weren't really stressed out watching it (except for gamblers) and it was alright to drink heavily, talk a lot, all while watching the game.

But now that the Saints are in it, what do you do? So many chooices:

- watch at a bar
- watch at someone's house
- be with a lot of people
- be with a select few people
- drink heavily
- drink moderately to be more focused on the game
- listen to Jim and Hokie
- listen to TV broadcasters

What everyone's thoughts? I sitll have feelers out for tickets, but it is not looking good, so I guess it is time to start planning.

I'm headed to New Orleans with no plans. Got a room on Bourbon. Should be a blast.

We're thinking it would be fun to be down in N.O. during the game. But then a gain...Our sofa is pretty comfortable for watching football games AND it doesn't smell like urine!

I'd watch it in the room.

If you didn't shoot up you tv and your couch doesn't smell like urine, You obviously didn't party hard enough for the NFC Championship game.

it is a tough call..went to the quarter and watched the n.f.c./champ game in a great little bar..great atmosphere. boisterous and fun fans, but really small t.v. and could not hear the announcers. tried Henderson/Hokie on my walkman,,but sorry, who wants to know the outcome of the play 5 secs before you see it on t.v.--thats a no-go.---miss the comfort of my couch/big-screen but afraid i will forever be sorry i was not down in N.O after we win the biggest game in Saints history...so,most likely i will be there fighting the crowd yet again and trying like hell to "pace" myself.

Yeah, my gf and I are heading down there this weekend, and haven't decided where to watch the game yet. Hopefully the team that we're pulling for wins this Super Bowl (she's a converted Bills fan).

Only with a select few at home. I want to enjoy every moment of this game, as many times during other Super Bowls, our family would always talk about how just once we want to be here watching the our team, the Saints. Now that it has happened, I don't want some a*hole to ruin it.

Will have my bf and his son over for the game. Have to get my menu together. May have a couple beers, too.

I still can't believe I'm going to watch the Saints in the SB...my bf says he's glad because it gives him hope...see, he's from Detroit and is a Lions fan.

Sorry, but I had to laugh at that. I'm just picturing a cassette walkman with the spongy headphones.

--sorry thought "walkman" was a generic term... how bout--- "$28 am/fm cheap arse radio complete with earplugs that are like putting small pieces of concrete into your ears, made in China crap bought directly from Best-Buy 2 hours before the game that were a total waste of god-damned money!"......... better?

Watching with about 25 or so people, BUT there are 3 big tv's in 3 different rooms, so it's like watching with a few people, since everyone scatters. NO ONE wants to be in a large crowd, but we want to watch togther.

Alcohol will be involved. How much depends on the game. Champagne will be had at the end of the game and any moderate drinking will move forward to heavy.
