Guys I like that should be available around 103 or thereabouts:

WILL HOLDEN, Vanderbilt, OT
6'7" 311
Sound fundamentals and strong. Very good run blocker. Has short arms and is an average athlete. Although he played LT in college he doesn't have the necessary skillset for the NFL.

CHAD WHEELER, Southern California, OT
6'7" 306
Superb athlete with excellent movement skills, technique and nasty. Probably needs to spend more time in the weight room and bulk up somewhat. If he lives up to his potential he should be a left tackle at the next level.

ERIK MAGNUSON, Michigan, OT - G
6'5" 305
Magnuson played some TE early in his college career. Struggled at LT but settled in nicely at RT. Has good smooth movement skills and a efficient kickslide to mirror edge rushers. Plays with good leverage and power. Solid prospect.

I think at least one of these guys will be available at 103.

Julie'n Davenport, Bucknell, OT
6'6" 318

Small school guy, A bit raw, would do well with a year or two of grooming like Armstead

Pocic has short arms he's more of a center or guard than a tackle

We tried making a LT into a RT and it failed miserably. We aren't doing that again.

If a guy hasn't proven he can play RT (like playing it Soph. year and switching to LT in his Junior year or something) we aren't taking him.

As it stands we have 3 legit guys that can start at LT (not saying they are all equal) and only one guy on the right.

I'll give Loomis a pass for not taking a guy who hasn't played tackle past the high school level to be the replacement of our starting right tackle.

so why even bother listing the guy projected to be a bust?

with a description like that, the guy only sounds worthy of maybe take a flier on him as undrafted signed after the draft to see if he even makes the practice squad

Jesus Christ.

You do realize there are only 32 starting left tackles in the NFL. And some of them aren't too good themselves.

Every draft prospect has pros and cons, apparently that's a write-up on him and his perceived weaknesses, that he doesn't translate to LT in NFL. Nowhere is that saying he's a bust.

My thoughts exactly. I want a player that excelled at RT.

He will be a dominant G. I would like to take him and kick Peat outsid, but then again Peat has struggled on the right side.

That's the problem. Not counting Unger, we have 3 guys that can play LT, 2/3 (unsure on Warford) that can play LG, 1 that can play RG, and 1/2 (unsure on Warford) that can play RT.

So a guy like Pocic is extremely unlikely given our better depth at guard and on the left.

We need a righty.
