bullshite. The confederate flag is more an affront to America than any shite protest. Dumbasses all over the south fly that thing like crazy. More Americans died in the civil war than any other armed conflict. I’ve even seen people defending the whole Charleston Nazi flag wavers saying they have a right to free speech. WTF? A bunch of athletes kneel now everyone has a problem. Some have become just like the SJWs they hate and are too stupid to realize it. How the hell you gonna say you’ve given up on the NFL but come on a NFL related message board to say you’re not watching? Doesn’t make sense to me.

Cool. I vaguely remember several players going at least once. I just know Drew made multiple trips and was going every year for a while. I remember cause I kept barely missing him every time I deployed and was pissed about it.

I don't expect that I could ever stop watching the NFL. It seems as though all of my white and black friends are claiming that they will stop watching but for opposite reasons (same topic).

Well Drew is about as promilitary as you can be. He has went overseas to see our troops by visiting combat zones with the Army and the Marines on multiple occasions. He embodies everything in his stance for the flag that I also believe and support. He is the QB and face of my franchise and I am proud to have him.
I agree.....spayton is a different story

I'm not happy with all that is going on either, but players could protest in my living room, and the POTUS call me and bash me every commercial break, but I'm gonna keep on watching and rooting for the Saints.

Everyone has an opinion I suppose. This military veteran not only does not feel disrespected but fully supports their right to a peaceful protest. At it's core, what they are doing is what this country is supposed to be about.

Of course, thank you for your service. And spoken like a man who remembers taking an oath to defend the Constitution, rather than to defend a flag.

Yeah, frick them for bringing politics in...why can't they just stand up and demonstrate their blind allegience to a piece of cloth in a totally non-political fashion?

I honestly thought I'd seen the max triggering I'd ever see on 11/8/16 but the past couple days dwarfs it. So many snowflakes. Y'all turning your mancaves into safe spaces?

If we're all about symbols, how is flying the confederate flag anything but rooting for America's enemies?

Did you or any other service members you know protest while they were serving?
Didn't think so.
Your superiors would have made you pay one helluva price.
NFL Owners won't do that to their millionaire investments. Therein, is your problem.
If these clown want to protest there are better ways to do it than to put down their own country.

It's hilarious how they're melting like the liberals they despise.

The players that kneeled should have to sleep in the 9th ward for like 2 weeks

For TV boycotters, it's a useless/powerless move if you aren't a Nielsen rating participant, either by diary or set meter devices.
Now if fans en masse stop buying NFL tickets or merchandise, that'd probably be a more effective way to voice their disdain.
But pissed off dudes in the suburbs just turning off the game will not prove a point to anyone.

What is it about athletes? I had no idea they weren't capable of supporting the troops unless they were standing during the anthem.
I can sit down, stand, kneel, eat chips and salsa, and a number of things during the anthem or any other time and I still love living here 99% of the time and respect the hell out of the troops 100% of the time.

Way to conflate a member of the military with an employee of a private corporation...with vastly different sets of rules of conduct. Also, way to lecture the veteran on what it means to love his country. Good job, man.
