It is what it is and some of y'all may have confirmed what a couple of my friends are saying as far as it looks like Sean and others have quit. If they coach with no fire Sunday that will probably drive the point home

I'll come right out and say it... I'm not so sure we win out.

Here ya go, have fun. It will take a few miracles to get us in.....

Not really, if the team was able to win out and finish 9-7, they would only need Chicago to lose 1, Seattle to lose 2, ATL to lose 2 (1 against us), STL to lose 1 & NYG or Wash to lose 2.

We would own tiebreakers on Seattle, Chicago TB & Atl

If? Have you watched any of the last few games? They're toast.

It was real, Sean.

Our biggest gun (on defense) broke, which is the biggest reason why we've struggled so much.

But I'm sure we'll have to have like 8 different things happen. Cant imagine us having any type of tie breaker so there is that

Actually, we're in good shape if we take care of business. According to Yahoo's playoff machine, we run the table and we're in. Running the table would take care of the Bucs and Failclowns. It would apparently give us the tiebreaker on Seattle.

Even if we lose to Carolina, we still have a shot at 8-8. We would win a four-way tiebreaker with Chicago-Seattle-Tampa. Add the Giants to the mix and we win the 5-way tiebreaker.

So we'd need help, but most of it would be from teams who are favored to win. We just need Baltimore or Cleveland to upset Seattle.

they put up a graphic during the lions packers game. At 4-7, the saints, eagles and rams are teams that need to win out. The lions (now 4-8 and out) were in that group but the Rodgers miracle in Motown ended that. The Dome offers no safe haven for Carolina Sunday.

Sounds good. But what in the hell would they do against the other teams in the playoffs? Exactly, get their arse handed to them. Even if we made the playoffs, we cannot compete with the elite. Let it go. As Bum Phillips used to say, there is always next year.

Yep. All of those scenarios are likely.

Chicago plays Washington, Minnesota, and Tampa. I don't see them sweeping those three games.

Rams have Arizona and Seattle. They're not going to win both.

Atlanta has the Panthers twice and isn't going to win both.

The Giants have the Jets, Carolina, and Minnesota. Easy to see two losses in there.

Seattle has Minnesota and Arizona. Both good chances for a loss.

The one part of the equation that looks unlikely is us taking care of business.

For what? Yes we are mathematically in for the #1 draft pick. Hopefully, CSP leaves before said draft.

Why do you want this team to make the playoffs? We will get smoked in the first round and sacrifice a higher pick.

been saying this since 0-3 and the writing was already on the wall back then.... but of course, it wasn't the popular idea... well, look where we are now... still no chance in hell of the playoffs, and in worse draft position.....

Not only do we have to win out, the Vikings and/or Seahawks have to melt epically AND other teams closer to us have to lose something. Done. Over.

I just picked who I thought would win for the final 5 weeks, obv with the saints winning out and it put us in the wildcard with 1 week left. I went with obvious choices too so I dont think it's as farfetched as people are making it out to be.
