Still like the pick,
I would have liked him in round 3. Would have loved him in round 4. But a team as bad as the Saints can't afford to gamble in round 1 & 2. And Kikaha in the top half of round 2 was a gamble.

I wanted either Landon Collins or Malcom Brown at the end of round 1 (the Stephone Anthony pick), and whichever of the top 4 ILB's (Anthony, McKinney, Kendricks, Perryman) was there and highest rated. Personally I would have taken Eric Kendricks.

If I was trying to hire you for a competitive team based environment and told you that unlike most other options for you, you're going to be micromanaged by a guy who has no business in your department and you have to keep your entire staff regardless of their performance would you take that job?

Very true and who in the hell would down vote this?

The anti-McMahon-Johnson-Vitt view has become a consensus around here IMO. We have pointed at the front 7 on D for a long time now. They have brought in free agents and drafted players yet the results are still not there. Sure extra injuries this year but the problem looks deeper. Without change I only wonder if we will be looking at this as the root cause of Payton being forced out.
