It's just a hopeful speculation

And while there are no NFL stadiums with an airline name attached to it (although there are several basketball arenas), many NFL teams have an "official" airline that includes some sort of sponsorship deal.
I would refuse to fly in an airplane with the Atlanta Falcons logo on it.
It would likely crap out right before it got to its destination. But no big deal, most of the seats would be empty.

Just coming to post this.
Unless...they sent the plane down to bring him to their facility for a physical!!!

Ingram was going to be on that plane but was accidently knocked down by the female flight attendant calling for last boarding.

Do people not realize these planes are in regular service when they aren't transporting a team?
Its not the owner's private plane that just transports him around for his own private use.
Yeesh.

That plane holds over 100 passengers.
Why would they fly that to NOLA for trade talks? Are they bringing the entire staff and roster with them?
I'm pretty sure a trade can be done with a handful of front office personnel. Maybe a leerjet or a gulfstream would be more efficient than a 727 here. And that's even assuming they would meet face to face for a trade in the middle of the season.
This is a commercial jet that just so happens to have that logo on it. Sponsorship?

I could be way off base here, but wouldn't they send the jet instead of a big plane for one person and thus wouldn't that plane most likely land at the lakefront airport and not the main airport?

US Airways puts NFL shite on a bunch of their planes, as Blues posted earlier.
But in spirit of shits n' giggles, maybe Pittsburgh is putting out the full-court press? They clearly need another Jonathan Dwyer...

just left with no ingram
BUT...
Weren't the media request to talk to Ingram denied last week?
Wasn't Ingram noticably absent from the sideline yesterday?
What if the plane wasn't picking him up, but was bringing him back...

So are we ignoring the fact that the planes flight history shows no stops in Pittsburgh dating back to September 10th?

Either that or he ran into the pilot and tore his acl.

The plane actually has nothing to do with the Steelers organization.
quote:
The post-merger US Airways has continued the America West tradition of logo jets and currently only uses Airbus A319 aircraft for these special liveries.
US Airways has established marketing agreements with four NFL franchises, all located in the airline's hubs or focus cities:
Philadelphia Eagles: An Airbus A319 operated by US Airways, introduced in October 2006[10]
Arizona Cardinals: An Airbus A319 operated by America West Airlines, introduced in December 2006[11]
Carolina Panthers: An Airbus A319 operated by US Airways, introduced in September 2007[12]
Pittsburgh Steelers: An Airbus A319 operated by US Airways, introduced in August 2007[13][14]
]
They are flying advertisements for those teams in the hub zones, like the Seaworld Southwest planes.
When you see this, it isn't coming to get talent for Seaworld.
Also no one is going to send a 100 passenger plane for talks. The owners all have access to smaller planes like Citations and Gulfstreams.
Those would be more likely to be seen when courting a top free agent, like a Drew Brees in 2006.
When you are getting a RB for a late round pick, you make a phone call, and send him an email for economy vouchers on Delta.
