Shockey hurt his ankle. Don't know how bad but NFL.com reports that he hurt it.

What else is new?

I'm starting to think we made a gigantic mistake by acquiring Shockey. I thought it was a fluke that the Giants played better after he got hurt last year, but they are playing lights out still.

I wish we could get our picks back.

Can we just not bench him the rest of this year to heal up for next year? Miller is doing very well himself, its really only a loss as far as blocking is concerned.

It will be diagnosed today as "Loser's Limp"

After a meaningless catch, where he gets tackled short of the first down, but flexes after banging into a safety, he will be fine.

still think he will be an impact player for us. I say let him heal up and he will be good for us next year. He's a pro bowl TE so he's done something right in his career.

People, he's been here 8 games into a disaster of a season. I think he's getting way too much of a spotlight for this because of his past in New York. He may be hurting team chemistry, or he may just not be 100% and up to speed with the offense.

If anything, the defensive coordinator needs to be fired. There is no pressure on the quarterback. Never was Matt Ryan pressured. You cannot rush four (When has that EVER worked for Gibbs' defensive line?) and get zero pressure and expect a bright QB like Ryan to make mistakes. He has forever to throw, and with our scheme having CBs playing WAY too far off for man-coverage, he picks us apart 15 yards at a time. It doesn't work.

But, look at our defensive linemen. Then, look at John Abraham. Do any of our defensive linemen look like him? One--McCray. You saw Abraham...he's ripped. He's quick off the line and simply gets past the tackle. Smith and Grant can't do that. They're out of shape and too slow. They are basically undersized defensive tackles playing end. I'm disgusted in the defensive line. It all starts there. That's where winning begins--the line of scrimmage.

I agree with everything you said about the Defense and D-line. Both are a joke. However, I disagree with you on Shockey. He is a joke as well. Blame that completely on Payton. He saw Shockey as another "toy" for him to play with in his pass-happy offense. Which reminds me of another huge mistake by payton, which falls into the same "toy" category: Meachem. Wow he really is playing like a 1st rounder

I don't even want to know what defensive player we could have in place of meachem if we would have gone that route in the 1st round that year.

He's always hurt. Sean Payton's offseason trade moves are about as dumb as his in game coaches challenges.

Regarding the challenges: I was listening to WWL in 2nd half and Hokie was so frustrated. When the inevitible loss to a Payton challenge game down, Hokie says: "That's it Sean, give away another timeout." Hokie also says to Henderson at one point: "Can I ask you something? Where is Will Smith" I had to

This is the damn truth. And as for his challenges....I'm at a loss for words. This is the first time all season that I'm really dejected. I have nothing more to say.

Wasting a 6th round pick on a kicker is doubly dumb.

This Hartley kid looked good, though. So did the punther, Pakulak. He made a few good kicks and even made a solid tackle.
