Do not post over here very often so if it's been posted I wouldn't know.

Saw his film after he was drafted and other than off the field issues this guy can play.

Thanks for all the info.

A low risk, high reward pick based off of potential before his off the field issues.

He has of a good a chance to make the team, or practice squad at the least, if he plays to his potential.

Bobby Hebert singled him out after the first media OTA. I'm pretty sure he called him the real deal.

I'll be honest, I didn't know the kid existed until we drafted him. With that said, I have a friend who is pretty heavy into Miami and he told me that if his head is on straight and stay outta trouble, he could be a real presence on our D, compared him to Chandler Jones.

The thing I can tell you about Al-Quadin Muhammad is that he does all the little things it takes to win, because the things he does don't show up in the box score. He brings his lunch pail to work every day, and he's the first one in the building and the last one to leave.

Would you also say he has a High Motor? What about calling him a student of the game?

Unless you mean he actually does bring his lunch pail because that would be weird as I'm sure the saints feed the players...

Without a doubt. He's like a coach on the field.

If I remember correctly, his off field stuff wasn't too bad. I think he got into a fight at a bar early on and then got some improper benefits from a booster.

atlanta and new orleans ended up with the two players that were dismissed due to the illegal benefits. We drafted Muhammad, Atlanta picked up grace in UDFA

If he makes the PS it's a good pick. Anything else is gravy.

Just a guess on my part....

but if he shows enough in camp and there's great upside potential ....... they may not risk watching him go through waivers to place him on the practice squad.
I think another defensive end gets cut.
You know Payton.....doesn't matter the round you are drafted....you can play.... you stick on the roster.

I dunno about that. He got kicked off the team and in college they bend over backwards to avoid doing that. The NFL is definitely much more of a sink or swim proposition. He'd better have gotten his head screwed on right.

This. He got kicked out for some stupid stupid stuff at Miami, like getting in a fight in the parking lot after the spring game level stupid.

Hopefully, he's learned from it, but if he hasn't, he'll be out of a job in no time.
