That's been a bit overstated this year, but it is essentially true. He is expected to protect 2-gaps, so one lineman screwing up will usually just mean a little less time in the pocket for the QB. I think this year, having two inconsistent players to either side of him really hurt his play. I am eager to see what they do to fix the situation - hopefully they have enough cheddar to sign a FA center and also draft for the future.

Evans played with a back injury early in the season, and still managed to be one of the most stout guards in the game. After his back healed up, around mid season, he went back to doing what he does best - being Drew's best friend on the o-line.

Grubbs is a good player. He just struggles blocking in space, which hurts the screen game. And that's surprising because the Ravens had success in that area while he was there.
