27
S CALVIN PRYOR
LOUISVILLE
-My favorite player in the draft. Hard hitting, ball hawking safety who would form an absolute nightmare tandem with Kenny Vacarro. In my opinion, the best pick possible.
58
CB STANLEY JEAN- BAPTISTE
NEBRASKA
-Big, physical press corner who, with a little coaching, could be dominant in this league. Would give us a very solid No. 2 corner opposite Lewis. Has flown up the draft boards and has very high potential.
91
C WESTON RICHBURG
COLORADO STATE
-Shows great toughness as he started all 49 games of his college career. Very versatile and has experience at Guard and Tackle. Would stand to improve by putting on some more weight but is labelled as a plug and play guy by many NFL scouts. Great value pick here.
122
DE DEMARCUS LAWRENCE
BOISE STATE
-Would move to OLB for us. Plays much bigger than what he really is. Has solid length and a frame that could add more weight. Was Boise State's best pass rusher. Very athletic and shows the quickness to drop into coverage.
155
WR RYAN GRANT
TULANE
-A hometown favorite. Has a knack for getting open and making the spectacular catch. Showed out at the Shrine Bowl I believe and helped his stock. Has knowledge of our system coming from Tulane and would add much needed depth to the position.
186
DE AARON LYNCH
USF
-Low risk, high reward type player. Showed flashes of greatness while at Notre Dame but production decreased with his transfer to USF. Very athletic, big body who would be a nice addition to our D-Line.
This draft would give us a great Vacarro-Pryor tandem as well as a Lewis-Jean Baptiste tandem while shoring up the center position. Would also add 2 great potential picks in Lawrence and Lynch as well as a solid pickup in Grant

91 pick: CB TERRANCE MITCHELL OREGON

Out of how Many years Payton been here and we have never got a OL from a major school in the early rounds. The saints like to find the late round gems for OLineman. You lose with if you pick an OLine at the 27 pick sorry.

R1 - OT TAYLOR LEWAN MICHIGAN
Fills need at OT, either RT or LT
R2 - CB KYLE FULLER VIRGINIA TECH
Tough kid, good tackler, would likely be our #2
R3 - C WESTON RICHBURG COLORADO STATE
Would likely start, arguably the best center ... along with Swanson
R4 - WR MARTAVIS BRYANT CLEMSON
Big bodied reciever, could develop well in this system...has the tools to be a #2 on day
R5 - DT DANIEL MCCULLERS TENNESSEE
Adds depth at the DT position
R6 - OLB KASIM EDEBALI BOSTON COLLEGE
Adds depth to OLB position, special teams

...or this one! Amazing how such a little toy can keep grown men entertained endlessly.
still like mine on pg1-
27
CB JUSTIN GILBERT
OKLAHOMA STATE
-no question on this one if he would be available
58
ILB SHAYNE SKOV
STANFORD
-decision between him and WR Allen Robinson
91
C WESTON RICHBURG
COLORADO STATE
-perhaps a perfect 3rd Rd choice IMO
122
S DION BAILEY
USC
-CB Pierre Desir was the only other consideration here
155
RB DE’ANTHONY THOMAS
OREGON
-decision between him and WR Bruce Ellington, like the potential as a Sproles replacement
186
CB WALT AIKENS
LIBERTY
-pure value pick and he looks like a Saints small school guy

since free agency is a few weeks away still, this is what I find myself doing more than anything when I visit this board.

WESTON RICHBURG
this is who I want if the Saints draft a center.
I'm also getting on a Bruce Ellington kick a lot like I did with Randall Cobb a few years ago.
I know he isn't all that big but he sure is quick and I'll bet he'll be a slippery sumbitch as a slot WR.
I like Gilbert too but I feel like if he runs well at the combine he might be the top corner of this draft.

Offense heavy and didn't really want to double dip on RBs, but I really liked all of those players more than anyone else available. Probably not the best idea to cut both PT and Sproles, but the draft would definitely follow the "better a year too soon than a year too late" mantra, plus it would give us a chance to free up as much as ~$6m in cap space this season.

didn't want to take 2 WRs but I got to the 5th round and there it was... Bruce Ellington still sitting there.
wanted Richburg but he was gone. This Marcus Martin guy is supposed to be a badass too though.
