should we give chase daniel a chance to see what he can do?

brees is not going to resign here because he will be heading to a team to finish his career where he can take that team into the playoffs next year or he just retires. anyone who is being honest knows this.
it doesn't really matter what our record ends up at the rest of the year, brees is out of here so we still wont have a QB next year.
or should we risk not play him at all so brees can set records and blindly roll into 2018 with chase daniel as our "untested" starting QB?
personally i would like to see him get a chance to show he can do it because i think he "could" be a decent average QB but im not sure if he can be any better then that and would like to see it for sure one way or the other before the off season moves start happening
assuming we are at 2-7 record or something like that, would you?

Why in the frick do you start a backup QB, that likely isnt here next year if we do a hard reset?
Brees is playing. Chase is the clipboard holder. Its whats he is good at. I havent seen him drop it yet.

did you watch any pre season games? he sucked dick against 2nd and 3rd string defenses. what in the actual frick makes you think his performance will be any different against a starting defense ?

No, we already know Daniel is a career backup. Nothing more. If it wasn’t for his handshakes with Drew, he wouldn’t even be on the team.

How many people thought we would be 4-0 to start the season? Most of us saw the schedule and hoped for 2-2 at best. Yet, if we win this next game everyone will start talking about the playoffs. People suck.

but shouldnt we find out "for sure" exactly what we have in him?
im only talking about after the point there can be no more winning record this year.
at thart point frick padding garbage time stats for brees and start finding out top to bottom who needs to stay or go.
and if nothing else, its gets us better draft picks not winning meaningless games
i think we need to know one way or the other if we should dump daniel and find someone who can carry this team if the starting QB goes down.
as for sucking in PS yes and thats why im interested to know if he needs to hit the door as well after this year

Wish he had been here before that would make it easier to decide.
Wish he had some playing time on other teams to help also.
If only he had played during preseason most of the snaps.

preseason dont mean shite, the only thing that is real is a real game with full time starters going full speed.
daniel hasnt started anywhere for any team in real games that i can recall to know, and at least two teams gave him huge contracts to bring him to those teams, so "someone" thought he was starter material

Yes! This is a great idea! And let's go ahead and give Dennis Allen another shot at head coach to see what he can do.
