they were $12/piece after Katrina for the 2006 season. There were no preseason games either. It came out to under $100 per ticket for the season. Drake and I have 5 between the 2 of us.

Good for you guys, seriously. And there's nothing wrong with 5 between 2 people. I'm talking about 1 person who owns 10+ tickets. At some point, you have them for your family and then you only have them for business.

I worked full time, attended college full time, had a second part time job(still have it), and raised a family. If I could do it, so can you.

I didn't have the family part, but I was living in CA, then moved to Hawaii. So not only was money really tight while I was in college and trying to make it in the film industry, but there was NO way I could attend a game as I didn't have enough money to come watch them and more importantly, time. You work 12-15 hours a day, no vacations when you freelance. You miss a movie or TV show and you're fricked. Now I live in Hawaii and make good money. I come home for at least 3 games a year and sometimes 4-5.

This is why current season ticket holders get first shot at available tickets. The Saints know that once the suck again, it will be hard to sell out the games like before.

Think about that for a second. You think the assholes like Munich Bengal who owns 10+ tickets and uses maybe a couple of them will continue to buy 10+ when they can't sell them anymore?

Or do you think it more likely the 60k+ people on the waiting list will actually re-up? The Saints fans who have been waiting 8+ years will continue to buy while the Saints possibly transition and have a down year or two (of course I hope we just find another Brees ), while the scalpers will just dump those tickets.

It's not just about the Saints "sucking" and people didn't buy them before. Many Saints fans have come into their own in the last 8+ years and can now afford season tickets.

The tickets are offered to the public. The public buys them. In what quantities and what they do with them after purchased is their business.

No, they're really not offered to the public. They're continually offered to only season ticket holders. Saints fans who are dying to buy them, over 60k, can't get their hands on them vs Munich buying 20 tickets for his "business".

You're the same guy that cries when someone takes the last slice of free pizza, huh? Life's not fair. shite happens. Time to grow up and join the real world with the rest of us

It's unbelievable how shitty you and Munich's analogies are

I don't want free pizza. This has nothing to do with the gov't or Socialism. I get it, you don't care if other Saints fans can get tickets or not. At least you're not buying them up to sell them. But when you guys see a whole bunch of other fans at the games instead of Saints fans, it's because of scalpers. How terrible of me as a Saints fan to want an opportunity to buy season tickets. I must be a Democrat

I wish this was the case. Then I might be able have all my seats next to each other. Right now I have 2 in section 636 and 2 in section 618. I'd love to just have all 4 by each other.

On another note, do you know if everyone on the waiting list get an email yesterday, or if it's a phased email approach?

i see it the other way. They make their initial face value + the team gets the 10% from resale. or at least a part of it. I would think they want everyseat on the resale market for the extra money

Really? So if someone throws a ticket on Ticket Exchange, the Saints get more % out of that? I don't know how many people scalp them on TE vs Stub Hub or eBay or in person, but that's something I didn't know. shite, I wouldn't care the Saints called me and said you have to pay a 10% "rookie fee" to buy the season tickets. I would do it. I just think Saints fans should be owning Saints season tickets.

Exactly. You should be able to sit your family next to each other. Instead, you probably get a nice influx of Cowgirls, Falcan't fans, etc for each game in between.

My little brother didn't get an email either, so I don't know.

The ticket exchange through ticketmaster is done by the NFL. So any tickets resold on there goes to the NFL. It is then distributed to the teams.
Once the brokers can't make a profit, more will become available. If it stays bad for a few years, the bandwagon fans will give theirs up also. Any team that has multiple losing seasons in a row, pretty much isn't selling out to season ticket holders. I don't want the saints to suck just to find out how many real fans stop going. I understand it is frustrating for you, but the saints really don't care. They only see the dollar signs right now. Brokers and businesses helped them when they sucked. Now those brokers are reaping the benefits. In the New Orleans area, I have 4 in my family(one is too young), 5 brothers, 1 sister, all but one is married, and their kids. This comes to about 20 people. I have double digit tickets. I want more and will buy more in or around my section if available. Not all people with 10+tickets are scalpers.

That's the truth. This comes down to the Saints and I don't think it would really be that difficult to limit a household amount of tickets.

Fair enough. There should be a reasonable amount, I was just using 10 as an example. My mom was #8 of 17, so I know all about big families!

Look, I'm so low on the totem pole, I don't expect a call for years. But as others on here have shown, they've been on the list since before 2006 and are in the 4 digit numbers. They're Saints fans. They'll buy season tickets and I bet keep them forever. If the Saints suck (won't happen ), they won't bail. They'll remember it took them 8+ years to get these seats. Scalpers will bail.

Lots of people pass on the Bunker Club seats (or any of them that are $3K each). So you may get called sooner than you would expect. If you are open to purchasing tickets in that price range, you may get lucky.

That's what my little brother passed a couple years ago.

I'm open to it. I can afford it if I'm going, but the problem is if I'm not going (which will happen at least 3-4 games). My little brother isn't there financially yet. Perfect scenario is about $2k range each. But of course, everyone wants that

You need to find someone that is a season ticket holder that you are friends with. Let them know you will pay them some money if they can get tickets for you. A lot of people are doing this because it is the only way without paying much higher for rights from someone you don't know.

I thought I remembered it was 144 Divided by 8 games

Maybe you're right maybe it was 112

I just remember sitting in my office when it dawned on me the Saints Falcons game alone were selling for $120 a pair and then you could go to the Saints website and buy a fricking set of season tickets for like $250 a pair or whatever so I maxed out both of my credit cards and bought like 76 seats.

I meant was this the first time they've done that or has it happened in prior seasons? Just curious.
