The tickets were $11 each before 2006? That's crazy. Well, all I can say is I was in San Francisco for school and then moving to L.A. to start a career in those years and had no money or way to go to the games.

I still don't see how that should prevent me forever and scalpers should be able to keep screwing people over.

I'm not against a max ticket limit...how many people own that many tickets though? scalpers suck

I agree with you (not about anybody being a dip shite), but about people who have made a thing that should be for loyal, passionate true fans and turned it into a business.

Now first off I am a Republican for the most part (sure not a Democrat) and I don't believe that lazy people should be given anything they don't work for or that money should be taken from the wealthy that earned it. But back to the point

I am only 32 years old and don't make alot of money or had parents with money but 14 years ago in 2000 when I was 18 years old I bought my first two season tickets for me and my brother. I added two over the years and he added one. He eventually backed out & gave his up and I now have 5 season tickets. I make every game and I always bring other people and never sell my tickets, I just give them to friends & family and tell them to just buy me a couple beers. My wife comes alot and we bring friends and my 13 year old daughter comes sometimes and brings her friends. I will never give up my season tickets.

I do think it is a shame that some people own 10 season tickets and have not attended a single game in 5 years because they sell them all and always request additional season tickets since they are already season ticket holders. And they buy 2 or 3 more every year that they add to their 10 tickets and sell them every game for a profit. I think that is what is wrong with the set-up. It's the people who have no interest at all in going to the games just see a way to make money, when those 10;tickets can go to 3 good friends, as well as a father and his two young sons who will grow up as loyal saints fans and cherish those memories with their father, or a couple and their two daughters. My wife is a big Saints fan and loves the games and though 4 years ago my daughter didn't like football at all and now she is a life long WHO DAT who loves the games. I hope as many other fathers as possible get to experience that with their kids.

Before I moved from 644 (home side) because of the press box there was 5 seats close to us on the home side that never had the same people in them. Alot of times there was opposing fans in those seats when their should be who dats cheering on the Saints. Especially when there are 70,000 loyal Saints fans who would love to make the games every week

And you just told me that since I wasn't born in time and didn't have enough money 20 years ago that I cant own a 3-bedroom condo in the French Quarter.

You are advocating for redistribution of wealth in the thread (in regards to tickets) but then bashing me for doing the same thing with real estate.

In 1986 I was still in grade school absorbing knowledge while my $50,000 dream condo in the French Quarter was sitting there for 4 months unsold.

I still don't see how that should prevent me from owning this condo forever, and the rich real estate investors who already own 20 other properties and merely use that condo as a vacation home should stop screwing me over and sell me that 3-bedroom condo overlooking the river for the $50,000.

You have to see it from the organizations view. They tried to let fans get tickets. The fans didn't buy them because the Saints sucked. So after Katrina, scalpers and businesses bought the tickets up. It became lucrative on e they started winning. The team gets even more money when they are sold on the ticket exchange. They don't want to loose what they have been making. This is why current season ticket holders get first shot at available tickets. The Saints know that once the suck again, it will be hard to sell out the games like before. While the saints may try to cut back on some scalpers, they really don't care about it.
