Sucks because with the cap and the rookie wage scale, you absolutely have to build on draft classes. They've missed so much more than they've hit.

We've gone from Marques Colston in the 7th round to Tavon Rooks. Are these guys even trying anymore?

Yep. Everybody talked about how deep this class was and all we've got is one guy out of it and we can't even use him right.

Pretty funny how the only decent one of these picks (aside from Cooks of course) is Sunseri after all the fuss when we drafted him.

Yes and no. It's unfair to expect a late round pick to come in right away and star - fine. It's another thing for us to be pissed that management made a giant reach with our 2nd second round pick and drafted a player who is evidently nowhere near ready to contribute at a position of need. And now our 4th round pick is off the team altogether.

It does but Fortt is already X'd out. SJB not being able to even sniff the field as high as he was drafted and as bad as our corners are is not good sign. Seems like Rooks is just a guy, might as well still be Marcel Jones. Sunseri and Powell made the team, which is good, but no noise from them so far.

This draft is turning out to be utter shite. Cooks was the only thing good about it so far and Brees can't get it to him past 10 yards without his arm falling off from underthrowness.

Not sure what your point is. Cooks is a first round pick and is not dumb enough to do what Fortt did. Apples to oranges.
My point was if he did not stay out till 6 am Sunday morning of a gameday drinking with meetings in the morning he wouldn't be cut. He knows he was on a sort lease with CSP already.

The lack of players from this draft is most likely going to bite us in the arse down the road. We didn't even hit on the UDFAs this year like we usually do. The only two to make the team are Dixon and Edebali. And is Ronald Powell even alive?

Fortt will still be around
No one will sign him while injured and without really seeing any game footage of him
He will be back on Saints roster with shot to make team next year
With the injuries you have to do something for your roster now and Fortt does nothing for you now
