So if the call went our way that means Browner played well?

Not as bad as the rant.
Some here know some football, a lot don't.
The rant is 99% clueless about football.
I am surprised that most here didn't see the obvious failings of the Saints defense in preseason. In preseason, you have to look at individual team possessions very carefully.
You also should ignore whole-game stat lines.

There isn't much correlation between preseason results and regular season results. Sometimes a team can look really good in August and suck once the games start to count. Sometimes it looks like a long season and they turn out to be good.
Look at Landry Jones in Pittsburgh--he looked like one of the Billy Joes in preseason games. He was so bad in those games that the Steelers signed Dogkiller off the street when Gradkowski got hurt. When he had to play in a game that counted, he turned out to be a serviceable backup. Even saved a game that Ookie had been giftwrapping to the Cardinals.

The point is, that call was 100% incorrect. You will not see it again other than saints fans youtube.
And if called correct, new orleans wins the game. Plain and simple

You completely missed my point.
What I wrote was very clear.
The Saints defense, when looked at carefully in preasosn, was bad.
Some here here were using game stats to show it was better, but using game stats from a preseason game is meaningless.
This mess was completely and obviously predictable.

Not sure who was saying this since the D(starters and backups) played terribly in the preseason.

Meh...water under the bridge.
500 freakin yards. Cut em all, fire the coaches, burn the playbooks.

Can ANYONE show me an image of that being a catch?
Posted on 12/7/15 at 7:52 am to Mr.Perfect
Loomed like the ball hit the ground to me. I knew they were going to rule it a catch when the announcers started babbling about the receiver rolling over and it became evident they had been informed that the fix was in and instructed to sell it.

You can't use a still image because it doesn't show you what happened before and after. It's pretty telling that ~75% of Saints fans are saying it was a catch that tells you 90+% of non Saints fans agree that it was a catch.

Of course we got screwed on a call. I don't know anyone who is exclusively blaming the loss on one player/coach.
Doesn't mean Browner deserves any less shite for being a constant thorn in the side of this team

I believe a lot of people were giving the defense a pass in the preseason because they were playing so many 1st & 2nd year players, plus the team was battling through injuries. So, during the actual preseason games not many people put too much stock in what was going on. Then, when the season started we continued with the same rookies and were waiting on a few more vets to get back on the field. That is when some of the eyes starting opening up that this will be a long season. And, once the vets that we thought we would rely on came back on the field and you saw little to no improvement; it was evident that this defense was doomed.
