Zach Hocker (born August 23, 1991) is an American football placekicker that is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL Draft.[1] He played college football at Arkansas.
Professional Carrer:
Washington Redskins
Hocker signed a four-year, $2.1 million contract with the Redskins on May 16, 2014.[2] He was released on August 30, 2014 for final roster cuts before the start of the 2014 season.[3]
Miami Dolphins
Hocker signed a futures contract with the Miami Dolphins on January 8, 2015.[4] He was waived on May 5.

Kicker from Arkansas drafted by the skins last year. Not really much to say about him. He kicks odd shaped leather things through big yellow poles. Something the saints haven't been very good at lately

He was the most consistent kicker we had at Arkansas as long as I've been alive, I don't know how well he has transitioned to the pros though, hope he sticks around.

Dimke was at the minicamp. I guess this kid impressed more. And Hopkins is still signed unless they cut him today.

Just some quick digging shows we signed 3 guys and released 1. We had 1 spot open which means another release is coming.
We signed Hocker, OL Antonio Johnson, and WR Kyle Prater and we released LB Stephon Sanders.

He made a 54 yarder at the senior bowl a few years ago and consistently kicked the ball through the endzone on kickoffs. Thought he'd have stuck somewhere by now but kickers are hard jobs to land I guess since only one plays

He's a soccer style kicker. Prefers laces out when he kicks. Can only play on special teams. Uses a 3 step approach when kicking fg's

I don't personally know the kid but I do occasionally work with his dad. Everyone said he was a good kid and they were proud of him for representing Russellville.
He seemed to have a good few years at Arky.
Hopefully, he can develop along. How long did we keep Hartley after all.
