If we get Butler with Warford and Fairley contracts I doubt we can afford him.

All depends on how the contracts are constructed my friend. Have two multiple-time superbowl champions on your defense would do wonders for when time gets rough.

I got 7 downvotes for that comment. I'm assuming so.

I'm a socially liberal independent that posts on the Poli board I don't even look at downvotes anymore

Warford might not have lived up to expectation but he's also young and still is far from being a bad player

I hope you are right. Hightower and Butler would completely open up the draft to BPA every pick

yeah, cause the Browns only made him the highest paid guard in NFL history.

Which is why they are the Browns.

It'll help stabilize the line which is often only as good as the weakest link.

Yup, love this move.

Wonder what he got paid? Haven't seen numbers on any of the Saints players.

Assuming we re-sign Fairley & we don't trade Cooks...who is everyone's main target(s)?

Personally I'd like a CB...and preferably Prince Amukamara.

A pass rusher is still by far the biggest need.

Jabaal Sheard still should be modest cost and provide some edge help.

From his Wiki page:

"In his rookie season, Warford became an immediate starter at right guard for the Lions,[9] and he did not give up a sack the entire 2013 season. He was named ProFootballFocus.com's Rookie of the Year.[10][11] He was named the 2013 recipient of the Detroit Lions/Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association Rookie of the Year Award. Warford started all 16 regular-season games as a rookie."

I'll take it!!!
