I mean, not to be debbie downer, we barely won on the road against inferior teams. We also lost on the road against teams we had no reason to lose to either.

I think it has to do with Oline play

Yep. And WR is a position that typically takes a few years to adjust to from college to the NFL
Sometimes.
But Stills was a beast last season from the 5th round.

I think we should draft a receiver who already looks ready.
Looking at Landry.

If we go WR in the first I want Cooks, if we wait until the 2nd its Landry all the way.

I think we should get multiple receivers. 1 is bound to stick. Go potential in the 1st

Receiver in the first would surprise me with all the depth in the draft at that position.

I agree. Would prefer Cooks or Mathews to Beckham or Benjamin. If we were to sign Hicks or James Jones, I would be more open to the other two.

Cooks looks very NFL ready IMO.

I think he would have an immediate impact in this offense.

Yeah, he wasn't getting first round talk early on, but after he generated buzz and I watched some more of him, he may be my favorite player that has a legit shot at being there at 27. Also a big fan of Aaron Donald (would make cutting Bunkley easier) but I know NFL teams want lengthy players at 3-4 DE and he's fairly small. We run a lot of typical 4 man lines but I still don't know if Donald is the best fit, plus we're really deep at DL.

If we don't get browner and gilbert, verrett, and dennard are taken, I think we need to trade back into the middle of the 2nd round and collect a 1st for next year (haha as if its THAT easy right? lol)

We could get matthews in the mid-2nd and get jean-baptiste with the late 2nd. the two may not be able to contribute at a high level in week 1, but by week 8-10 I expect one of the 2 to be starting.

How many times do we have to play there? Even most college teams get a home and home.

I'd love it if he falls a good bit but I'd rather a bunch of guys ahead of him. I think he could contribute right away but his ceiling is pretty low IMO

Baltimore is a team who has had the our number the last few times we've played them. That one won't be easy imo.

CIN- Dalton has been pretty inconsistent. They've got some weapons and tough defense but they always seem to underachieve.

GB- tough team offensively.

MIN- at least they still have AP.

SF- will probably be in the mix again as a NFC contender. Solid football team.

ATL- should be improved but Roddy is getting old and now no Tony G.

CAR- will probably have a bunch of rookie WR's. Tough defense though.

TB- they'll be better but they don't have much at QB. I mean nobody that would worry you.

Away: Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys

CHI- always play these guys up in Chicago, hardly ever in the Dome. Crap on that.

CLE- made some decent signings but a big unknown with a new coach who seemed like he was the 8th or 9th choice for the job.

DET- have a good D-line and a capable offense. I think the Jim Caldwell hire might surprise some people.

PIT- still a team in a bit of transition?

DAL- lol.

Switch the Vikings with the Lions and I think that we got our hardest games at home, which is good.

The draft certainly won't have as much drama for us. Only a few select positions we even need. Which is a damn good feeling.

I don't know about ""perfect"" roster....but I like what our poo-arse front office is doing. Maybe we can win some games this year...or at least be competitive. frick Loomis.

More drama cuz of that to me. The less need is obvious the stronger the BPA weight becomes. That is, we'll have less clues as to the positions.
