per NFL Network tweet. Supposedly, it will make him the highest paid TE of all time (shocker)!

I'd be ecstatic if it is less than 10mil/yr.

If it's 12 a year that's too much

If the Saints have been offering $9.5 mil a year as reported, i would guess they are having to cross the $10 mil mark to get the deal done. I want to complain about that but he is our biggest weapon and someone else would pay more than we are going to end up paying.

I would rather stay under 10mil, but if we have to cross 10....Fine. But if he won't sign at 10.2-10.5, he can sign his tender and bet on his health.

Don't want to sign the Tender (don't see that happening)

Despite what people think.....JG is NOT THE ONLY WEAPON ON THIS OFFENSE

He is a great player to be sure, but we won the SB in 09 with Shockey who was not as good as JG, and other similar weapons.

He is not more important than the team

Sure, but a healthy Colston, Stills, Cooks AND Jimmy will win us a lot of games.

So much for what he said 3 years ago..... He's all about the money now. Greed! Take the 9.5mill cause without Drew he wouldn't be doing that unless he has Manning or Brady.

He kept his mouth shut while he was one of the NFL's 5 most underpaid players (maybe THE most). He deserves to get everything he can.

Drew spreads the ball around a ton. His numbers may not fall off at all with a mediocre QB that locks in on him.

Right but the Saints moves the ball so well Jimmy has so many opportunities for TDs.. and Brees makes the most of his tight ends here.

And also if he's on a mediocre team then the opposing teams will make more of an effort to take him away.. whereas with the Saints you have to keep focus across the entire field..

A mediocre qb also may not have the placement needed to utilize Graham to the max as well.. It's truly a great situation for Brees, Graham, and the Saints to have the two.
