quote:

I would not sign off on this selection this early in the draft. I do not see Robinson making an impact on pass rushing downs early on. Kevin Williams is 35. The Saints need some kind of consistency along the interior to allow Stephone Anthony to make more plays.

i guess it would depend on what type of defense they want to run this year.

what has been strange too see is how we've just randomly pieced defenses together over the years.

if you run a 3-4 better to build from the inside out.

Found it odd we paid up for a safety in free agency (byrd) when our D-line wasn't all that stout to begin with.

and then finally last year we picked some LB's after years without taking one in the 1st or 2nd round.

You want the #1 passing attack in the league, but the #32 defense in the league, to draft a WR in the first two rounds?
Cooks, Snead, and Coleman are a solid corp to build around and wouldn't be surprised to see us nab a guy in FA.

Prepare to lose your shite. They need O line and D line help a lot more than a WR

I would lose my shite if we don't address guard this year.

Ignoring C and G for years has been mind numbing

plug & play Guards will be there in the 3rd and 4th round. We just have to draft at the minimum 2.

I see us picking a mid round G to be a successor To Evans and then looking for a FA to fill the LG spot. I think Ts and C are all set.

There are so many holes on this team that they need to trade out of the first round and get more 2nd/3rd round picks.

I don't agree that Cody Whitehair should go that high in the draft

Agree those are obvious needs, but I would rather them fill those needs through FA. I could be wrong, but wouldn't it be cheaper to acquire a stud wr through the draft rather than signing a stud FA?

They need another big target on the outside. Coleman has shown some improvement but he is still raw and Drew ain't getting any younger.
