Well if history holds true, RR will go to a division rival and haunt us for yrs. That's how the Saints roll

We are expecting our DC to make good tasting chicken salad using chicken sh*t as the main ingredient. RR definitely had the goat horns hung on him.

I know goats. RR is NOT a scapegoat. The LAST thing CSP wanted to do was fire another DC. The LAST thing. But the performance of the last 3 weeks showed a def squad(made up of pro athletes) that looked to have given up on Rob. As someone said he doesn't even talk to them game time. They don't seem to buy in and I finally saw that this week.

Rob is just one of many problems that we have and he will not be the last to go.

Think what you will but in two of the last three years RR's def may be the worst in NFL history. If a very good DC has the worst players in the league at least he could scheme and coach them up just a little. Didn't happen at all.

It is very concerning that it appears he was sharing duties. The DC should have virtually free reign from Sean Payton and should be allowed to do his job and hire his people as he sees fit

Its possible CSP has gone to far from the 3G era.
From zero input to too much input. As such he may be making it more difficult to hire a DC from outside of the organization.

Agree 100% with this thread. Over the last 10 years we've constantly complained on this board about defensive players and coaches. At some point maybe it's not the DC fault but the guys above him. There is a decent possibility that in 3 years we could be having this very same conversation again.

Completely agree, this defensive unit is filled with late round draft picks and free agent busts, how can someone compete in the NFL with that, the Cowboys defense was awful the year after Ryan left too, they didn't get better until their PERSONEL got better, like the saints need to do, get better PLAYERS no more firing coaches and terrible drafts, that's what creates the dysfunctional environment we have.

Browner contributed for two straight Super bowl teams.

Browner got away with a lot of things in Seattle that he's being flagged for in New Orleans because Legion of Boom.

Think back at how many times Talib manhandled Jimmy Graham vs. New England. Never called.

Good point about Browner getting away with holding before he came to the Saints. I don't think it's likely he just started the holding.
