In fairness to Reggie the Saints best utilized him in '06 with more screens and short passes. Since the development of our receiving corps and RB's and the arrival of Shockey, the Saints haven't needed to use him as much. I think the best option would be to continue to use him how they have but feature him a little more like '06 against certain defenses. The more viable options we have on O, the more the other guy has to prep for.

he picked up a few clutch third downs. however, unless there is no salary cap next year, he will not be on this team. way too much $$$ for a player to get 6 touches a game
Maybe, but right now, I don't care- this year is all I see or care about...

Pretty good couple of games in a row for Reggie. Here's hoping he keeps it going!

I'm a pretty big Reggie fan, but I don't think he'll be here next year. He's a luxury item in this offense, and I'm betting they find a different way to spend that money.

I personally hope we keep him, but am also pretty curious to see what he would do on another team.

If Payton wants him, and I'm pretty certain he does, he will stay.

No matter the criticism, he's a special athlete who just needs to be used correctly in the NFL.

I think he will stay because the fans love him. He can be having a bad game and get ready for a punt and the crowd still goes nuts.

I'm a massive Reggie Bush hater... For the first time this season I can't hate... props for the catch and props for NOT RUNNING BACKWARDS!

It's funny. Bush is now in the situation where many fans' views have become absolutely fixed. It almost doesn't matter anymore how he performs on the field. Some fans resent the fact that he was so hyped coming out of college and got a top dollar rookie contract, and now he's not a bigger superstar who's the main "go to" guy. He'll never overcome the resentment of those fans no matter what he does.

I certainly acknowledged he's had his share of bonehead plays (a couple of fumbles and sometimes dancing around trying to make a big play), but he's also made some big time plays (punt return against Bucs his firs season to win the game, taking screen pass to the house in the playoff game against the Bears to get us back in contention in that game, two returns against the Vikings to put us in a position to win, picking up some crucial first downs in various games, using his speed and athleticism to score on that double reverse against the Dolphins that no one else on the team could have done . . . these are just a few off the top of my head in 30 seconds). Plus he is a team guy and gives effort every game.

Should he restructure his contract? Maybe. But I'm telling you . . . and I know this to be true . . . Payton and management like the guy and want to keep him.

I would really hate to lose Reggie mainly because I don't want the Saints to have to play against him.

sometimes??? try every game and almost every time he touches the ball... last night was the exception... when he runs N&S he gains good yards... when he runs E&W he goes nowhere... when he breaks down and "dances" like a little girl scared to get hit, he loses yards and sucks at life... I'm glad to see he got the idea that positive yards are UP field... lets hope he remembers that

He lowered his shoulder a couple of times in the Atlanta game, and made good progress.

Clearly, you are a teenager or close to it. He is not "scared" of getting hit. He is trying to make a play. Maybe he shouldn't at times, but he is trying to make a play.

His "life" is probably about 1,000 times better than yours.

1. He's a multimillionaire and a great athlete.
2. He gets to date beautiful girls.
3. He owns beautiful homes in New Orleans and Hollywood.
4. He gets to play the game he loves.
5. He's on a championship team and may possibly get to a superbowl or another NFC champ game.

All those things would suck.
