So does this actually make Vilma's case against RG stronger?

He's not gonna drop it, because his name has been dragged through the mud, and they're still asserting he put money on Favre. Get em Vilma.

But how much is his name worth? Before they were taking his money, his playing time and his name. Now it's just his name. Someone should start up a Vilma Defamation Fund.

Thank you NFL for waiting for our flickering playoff flame to die out before ruling.

Which draft pick did they take away from the Saints?

So we get Smith and Wilma for 3 more games of a meaningless season, helping sabotage tankage, while the NFL throws the dead body of the "organization" under the bus to run over it again for good measure.

Doesn't bode well for getting picks back or early parole for Payton.

This ruling actually pisses me off more than if they had reimposed the suspensions.

It is patent bullshite. I now have no respect for Tagliabue. His ruling evidences that he placed the personal interests of his crony above that of justice, the players, the integrity of the position to which he was appointed, the integrity of the process (which was a sham to begin with but to which the NFL purported to confer some air of propriety), and being truthful with the very public without which the league would not exist.

frick Goodell, frick the NFL, and frick Tagliabue...someone should file a bar complaint against this a-hole.

Tagliabue -- "However, this entire case has been contaminated by the coaches and others in the Saints’ organization.”

One thing that has been CRYSTAL clear -- at least since Greggggg Williams signed that bullsh!t affidavit -- is that either Williams or Cerullo (MOST PROBABLY BOTH) was a f*cking liar.

However, instead of discounting their "testimony," that f*cking idiot Goddell just took all the negative sh!t those f*cking liars stated, and just made the negative sh!t his "finding of facts."

Once your two "star witnesses" are shown to be f*cking liars, you must discount every f*cking thing they said. Instead, Goddell just picked and chose which lies he wanted to label as facts.

I believe that is what Tagliabue is referring to with the above statement. The "coaches and others" is referring to Williams and Cerullo. Tagliabue realizes that neither has a f*cking ounce of credibility -- but he wants to protect his good friend Goddell so he says that Goddell didn't do anything wrong with finding the facts as he did. Of course, this is nothing but a cop-out from Tagliabue.

I just love the way the statement basically says "Yep, there definitely was all that evidence you heard about but we never produced!" and yet still all of the penalties to the players named are vacated Such bullshite.

They screwed the fans , us. Im even more pissed off now about the whole situation. If they had evedince that playershad bounties it would have been shown and would of kept their suspensions. We lost our coaches , draft picks and put a dark cloud over our beloved super bowl victory. There aint nothing the NFL can do right the injustice.

This was a feel good win and that is all I am enjoying it for. Season is gone. Draft picks are gone.

The ruling is nothing but PR'ing bullshite. Letting the players off the hook at this point is of no victory.
