s that Tagliabue went to Goodell and said, "You made a mess of this. You were correct on the bounty findings, but you went too far with the players. What do you want me to do to save face for you and the league?"

To which Goodell said, "You're right. I'm a total fricking complete moron. Just validate my findings, withdraw the player discipline and blame it all on the Saints."

To which Tagliabue said, "That's exactly what I was thinking, and if you had called me beforte this shite broke, I would have told you to do precisely this you fricking incompetent piece of shite."

Meh...you're giving Tags too much credit. Goodell would have never pulled the trigger on this shite in the first place without clearing it with legal. Interestingly, Tags is part of legal. So he is covering up his own shite as much as Goodell's.

Tags was forced into a hard position. He retired and because of Goodell's ineptness, he had to come back to save the NFL's reputation. He probably wanted nothing to do with this yet here he is, caught right in the middle.

We want our draft picks reinstated and at least one more as fair compensation for a year wasted thanks to Goodell.

I realize Falcons' fans love this because it allowed them to finally beat the Saints, but you all would be fools to see that what went on here is terrible for the league since nothing guarantees that your franchise won't be the scapegoat du jour in the league's next PR campaign.

Enjoy the Phyrric Victory, Falcon's fans, because the best you could do against us with one hand tied to one leg was split the series with what is clearly the best team you ever assembled. Next year it'll be back to normal and order will be restored.

I've said that this is nothing more than a pissing match between Goodell and the Saints. I'm laughing at the guy wanting compensation for Goodell handcuffing y'all.

You're probably right. Would be nice to see any of the evidence in all of this though so we could see if the Saints were ever pissing in the first place.

When does Goodell arrive in NOLA for the Super Bowl? I am sure he will get a warm welcome.

What a crock of crap!

Kind of late. Thanks for screwing up our season. All intended to look like you care to cover your asses in the head injury lawsuit.

the saints waste draft picks on ricky williams and mark ingram. it's not like the lost draft picks would be used on any quality players anyway

I still like Tags even if people are discrediting this. Happy for the players.

I recognize he's still protecting his boy Gooddell or whatever, but at least he did vacate the players suspensions.
