He already looks like the best player on our defense. This is good and sad at the same time.
Also...that pass rush of ours...woof

Vaccaro was all over the field again too, flying on to make tackles especially when others missed them.

Cam
Vaccaro

Everyone else

Am I the only one who really liked what I saw from Klein? I saw a few media guys saying he was mediocre in coverage (he was) because his sideline-to-sideline speed sucks, which it does, but he was coming up quick to the ball especially in the run and was making big hits. I was pretty happy with his performance personally.

i liked pretty much everything he did except collide with Cam on that tipped pass.

the failed interception bid.

that play could have been real pivotal for the Saints.

Didn't mean to say I didn't like anyone else or they are all equal, just that Cam and Vaccaro are on another level from EVERYONE else. Those guys are insane.

But yeah I like Klein in the run game, getting guys lined up, and he can play zone or cover slower backs/TEs. I did not like him manned up on receivers, but again that goes back to Allen and knowing your players.

I also liked a lot of what I saw from a lot of players. The only one I saw truly playing bad was Harris. Most of the rest was scheme and putting guys in bad spots.

I just wish he was better in coverage and didn't make bonehead mistakes. He could be so so good.
I'm curious to see how he graded out for the game. The easy TD to Diggs was mostly his fault. They were in cover 2 and he stuck his nose down. The announcers were hating on Harris for that play but he wasn't the main person to blame.
The TD to Rudolf he didn't get any help from Lattimore underneath leaving the easy throw. I blame that more on Lattimore just not having enough experience in zone.

Dammit.

I wanted Awuzie in the 2nd round. Could have paired up nicely with Lattimore.

Diggs is damn good

Yep. People are allowed to be homers and ignorant, of course. Noting that playing Bradford and his receivers is significantly harder than facing Josh McCown and the trash Jets receivers is quite relevant.

IF he stays healthy, and that's a big if, we got a steal.... he's a legit future starter/defensive anchor for us....

When you cant touch the qb bc of your pass rush, the secondary will suffer especially with youth.

Yes and it also helps when you are finding the 5-7 yard gaps in the zone time after time and the defense does not adjust and the over the top safety help is consistently late coming over .
